Quick truth: There is no "behind" in this challenge. That's a story your brain made up the moment you missed a day. And I get it. We are world-class at turning one missed session into a full-blown identity crisis. "I always do this." "I never finish anything." "Why did I even sign up." Stop and breathe for a minute.. Read the next line slowly: The challenge is not a train you missed. It's a room you can walk into whenever you're ready. Everything is still in the classroom. And the funny things is: Almost everyone misses a day. But what about the people with those big transformations? They're the ones who fell off as well. Felt the shame. And came back anyway. That is the rep that matters. That's the one that rewires you. Because every time you've quit something in the past, you taught your nervous system one thing: "We don't finish things." Today you get to teach it the opposite. Open the classroom. Press play on the next session. That's it. That's the whole task. Your transformation report is waiting on the other side of the questions. If You Are New Here…
I have been in the program since March; I did the five day workshop and then the 6 week program. If you are patient, watch the classes, do the worksheets, and don’t let the technical issues get you down, you WILL find help through this program. You will get insights into who you are and how your brain works that will blow your mind. I’ve spent decades (I’m 66) looking for the answers Jim’s program has helped me discover. I’ve worked with life coaches, counselors, therapists, neurologists, brain injury specialist, etc. NONE of them were able to help me in the ways this program has. I am different in several positive ways because I’m making the necessary changes and following these protocols.
Feeling a little behind - on the Awakening, but made a start...
Just started the ADHD Awakening Assessment and already named something I've been blaming myself for. I have 22 notebooks full of ideas and a half-renovated house with the walls still out three years later. Turns out my brain isn't broken at the "doing" part. It's wired for legacy, not checklists. Here's the reframe most people miss: when you said you get "lost in time" building something that will "last the distance," you revealed your brain's true fuel source - meaning, legacy, impact. The Microsoft to-do lists didn't fail because you're undisciplined. They failed because they were designed for a brain that finds satisfaction in ticking boxes, and yours finds satisfaction in building things people are still using five years later. You've been trying to run legacy-building software on a checklist operating system. Of course it crashed. This is great, but still need to sort out the checklists for council consents, .... Definitely need to learn how to do Council Consent speak!!!
In My life
I am very glad I found this site and it is not because misery loves company. It is because I found there are so many others who are/have been suffering through some/most/more of the challenges I faced in my life. I did the snapshot and it told me exactly where I am in my life, and I agree. I have been able, after 40+ years to take a long hard look at my challenges and behaviors and find strategies to not only survive but to grow from them. My being here lets me share some of those same strategies with others.I am not here for any personal gain other than the happy feeling I get from offering advice that has helped me.
