Hello sweet souls...I am repeating the 5 Day Challenge and I'm delighted to see familiar "faces" here and some new friends too. I am very pleased to share my first check in...Here it is...The"snippet" that appeared at the end of the ADHD Awakening Assessment...I think it captured my heart's desire''...My Ikigai...My purpose in this world...The summary of who I have become after 4 decades as a licensed therapist...I'm sharing it to force myself to come out of hiding in this community...So...Let the challenge begin! Now if only I can figure out how to post the snippet??? I remain totally tech intimidated...But committed to somehow getting on top of that challenge as well!😉🤣 Here it is: I just completed all 5 sections of the Awakening Assessment. I discovered that my "ideal day" isn't a fantasy, it's actually a prescription my nervous system has been writing for years. And the work I'm pulled to? Helping people learn the value of what it means to be"loved in their badness"....This is the antidote for shame...The imparting of grace... Turns out the thing I needed most became the thing I'm here to give. ---

@Cathy A Castagna perhaps mine is different because it’s on my phone. Glad you got it to work! And yes I am dabbling in way too many things at the same time… but I want to learn allll the things! I’m in like 8 groups on Skool and another 5 on the Circle platform lol.
Where are my chronic….
Interrupters? I’m the worst at listening. I am notorious for interrupting. Butting in. Or filling quiet spaces to remove awkward silences for others. It has gotten me into disciplinary problems. What about “one uppers”? I have learned over the years that I don’t intend to come off as one-upping. But I understand that’s how it’s perceived. Telling a story to match your story is how I connect. Anyone share these behaviors/traits?

It’s so hard to get up in the morning.
Morning Routine!
This is my current morning routine, assuming I don't have a specific morning appointment: *meditate *get in shower *wash face for 5 minutes with affirmations *make bed *put on clothes (I don't have to "get dressed" unless I'm going somewhere but I DO have to put on clothes, meaning not just wear my robe) *go downstairs- bring phone, journal, and cup *take vitamins *prep daily water *prep protein breakfast *eat breakfast *qi gong on patio if possible *then my "finish line" is going to my car- long story but I read Atomic Habits and knew that I NEEDED something *I* could do EVERY DAY, that depended on NO ONE but myself, that got me literally OUT of the house (to parking lot) etc. It was my even possible anchor of stability in completely unstable circumstances. Anyway, that's what I have. I also give myself until noon to complete this. Now, I am a single mom who sadly spends the vast majority of my time by myself. And taking care of daughter. So anyway my point is, this routine gives ME a fighting chance to have an identity of my own every day. It isnt easy on ANY level. But I wanted to share because it is true. And I figured if any group would understand, it would be this one 🥰 Feel free to share your morning routine below. This is alllll new to me. But I'm realizing like I said that if I want a fighting chance at a FULFILLING life, REGARDLESS of circumstances, then I need to take the reins. Love you guys! Have a great day!!

It's been a productive morning, although frustrating (dealing with insurance, taxes and government programs). Resisting exercise a little, but it'll happen soon. Got the big stuff done - taxes, insurance coverage, county office mistake hopefully corrected.
