Father Time Sunday 🕰️ — Showing Up Even When It’s Hard
Today was one of those days. Got to the gym at 8am already feeling tired and dreading the workout. Started on the incline chest press machine and wow… I couldn’t push more than 45 lbs for just 2 reps. My shoulders were sore, fatigue was real, and my body felt flat even though I slept. So I pivoted. Got off the machine, went to the bench, grabbed dumbbells and did: - 37.5 lbs x 4 - 40 lbs x 4 Not pretty. Not powerful. But DONE. I wanted to give up and go home… but I didn’t. I adjusted. I kept moving. I stayed patient with myself. Two hours later — workout DONE. ✔️ Cherry on top 🍒: I taught my partner how to do RDLs (yes, he refused my pink clips 🤣), made a few form tweaks, and he crushed it. Coaching while tired hits different. And here’s the WIN: 🏆 New PR — Max Volume Ever on Dumbbell Glute Bridges (+10%) Even on a low-energy day. Even with sore shoulders. Even when motivation was missing. This is your reminder that progress doesn’t always feel powerful. Sometimes it feels heavy, slow, and uncomfortable. But showing up still counts. A lot of us are struggling with sleep right now — I see you. I’m choosing patience, listening to my body, and giving myself grace. If today feels hard: adapt, don’t quit. Small wins still stack. Consistency over perfection. Always. 💙💪
