The Truth About Red Meat That Most Nutrition Advice Gets Wrong
Good morning everyone. Quick check-in today: How are you feeling? How are you functioning? What updates do you have for me? I also wanted to share something important about red meat because it has been misunderstood for a long time. Somewhere along the way, red meat got lumped in with processed junk food and painted as something to avoid. But after 20 years in natural healthcare, I've seen some of the best body transformation results happen when people start rotating quality red meat back into their diet. Here's why: ✅ Supports metabolism Red meat is rich in zinc, iron, and B12, nutrients that help support thyroid function and healthy metabolism. Low iron is one of the most overlooked reasons people feel sluggish, low energy, and struggle with weight loss. ✅ Helps preserve lean muscle Red meat contains complete amino acids and naturally occurring creatine. More lean muscle helps support a healthier resting metabolism and better energy production. ✅ Supports brain function B12 and iron are important for the production of serotonin and dopamine. Sometimes brain fog, low motivation, and fatigue are not just stress-related, they're nutrient-related. ✅ Replenishes iron stores The iron found in red meat is absorbed far more efficiently than plant-based sources. This can be especially important for women who experience fatigue or are still cycling. ✅ Provides building blocks for hormones The body uses cholesterol and fats as raw materials to create hormones like: • Estrogen • Progesterone • Testosterone Your body cannot build what it doesn't have the materials to build. The takeaway? You don't need to eat red meat at every meal, but rotating quality, unprocessed red meat into your nutrition plan can be a powerful way to support your metabolism, muscle, brain function, energy, and hormones. Now it's your turn. What's your update today?

GLP-1 for kids!
Hi everyone! This fits with Dr. Cody’s message from today… and it’s really scary! I saw a post yesterday on Facebook quoting the WSJ that 9-year-old twins in the US are receiving GLP-1 injections because the parents think “the consequences of obesity is worse than the (unknown) side effects of the weight loss drug!.” And the article said doctors don’t even know the effect it may have on child bone and brain development. I don’t have a WSJ subscription so can’t read the full article but I posted the link below… and upon googling there are several articles across different media outlets that says they allow it for children as young as 6?!?$ WTH?! 😳🤯 terrifying! Here are some article links; https://www.wsj.com/health/wellness/when-diets-dont-work-parents-turn-to-wegovy-for-elementary-school-kids-35aa9c05 https://ca.news.yahoo.com/kids-young-six-being-given-141531103.html https://www.the-independent.com/life-style/health-and-families/glp1-age-children-weight-loss-drugs-b3000409.html

Why So Many Women Over 40 Feel Stuck With Their Weight
Can I share something that I wish more women understood before they spent years fighting their body? The weight gain after 40 isn't usually about a lack of willpower. And it's not because your body suddenly stopped working. As we get older, several things begin to change at the same time. Cortisol tends to rise. Insulin sensitivity tends to decline. Sleep often becomes more challenging. Stress has a bigger impact than it did in our 20s. The problem is that nobody ever teaches us how these pieces fit together. Most people are told to eat less and exercise more. But if insulin is elevated, your body has a much harder time accessing stored fat for energy. That's why so many people feel like they're working harder than ever while seeing fewer results. What I want you to remember is this: ❤️ Your body is not broken. ❤️ Your hormones are not your enemy. ❤️ There is a reason you're experiencing what you're experiencing. ❤️ Understanding what's happening is often the first step toward changing it. Whether you're currently in FAST40 or just getting started in the Fit Over 40 community, keep learning. The more you understand how stress, sleep, insulin, and hormones work together, the more empowered you'll be to make decisions that actually support your body. I'd love to hear from you: What has been the biggest challenge for you after 40, weight loss, energy, sleep, cravings, stress, or something else? Drop it below. 👇
