How often does your skeletal system replace itself?
Here’s something that blows most people’s mind: your skeleton isn’t a “static frame.” It’s living tissue—constantly renewing itself. In fact, most of the adult skeleton is replaced about every ~10 years through a process called bone remodeling. How does that happen? Your body runs a beautiful 2-team system: - Osteoclasts = the “cleanup crew” that breaks down old or stressed bone - Osteoblasts = the “builders” that lay down fresh new bone This doesn’t happen randomly—it happens on purpose. Bone is remodeled so you can: - repair micro-damage from daily life - adapt to what you demand from your body (walking, lifting, posture, impact) - help regulate minerals like calcium and phosphorus And here’s the coolest part: your body renovates bone in small zones, like a construction site moving around your skeleton. A full remodeling cycle at a given spot takes on the order of months (often cited around ~3 months in many descriptions). So today, let this land in your nervous system: You are not stuck with the body you had last year. Your body is literally rebuilding you—quietly, faithfully—every day. Your job is simple: give it the signals and raw materials it needs. Strength work, protein, minerals, sunlight, sleep, and consistency. Drop a 🦴 in the comments if you’re choosing to support your “inner construction crew” today.

40 day wins!
Yesterday was my 40th day on Fast 40. I have lost 10 lbs and 19 inches! I had to take my measurements twice just to make sure. I have so much more energy and am saving $ because I’d rather cook my own food than eat out. I’ve learned even more tricks to lower fat content and maintain taste.

"Join Serena on Rue. Insurance or cash pay — GLP-1s may cost less than you think."And right underneath that?"Go ahead and inject yourself too." I honestly had to pause. This is the kind of messaging I believe should be illegal — suggesting that because a well-known athlete is using weight loss injections, you should too. It’s subtle, but powerful marketing... and incredibly misleading. Most women I talk to aren’t struggling because they haven’t injected themselves yet. They’re struggling because no one ever taught them how their hormones, stress, metabolism, and lifestyle interact — especially after 40. They’re struggling because the system isn’t designed to support real healing — just quick fixes and prescriptions. And I get it — when you're stuck, desperate, and feeling betrayed by your own body... this kind of ad hits hard. But here’s the truth: Your body is not broken. You are not lacking a drug. You just need a plan that works with your biology — not against it. Curious what your thoughts are on this. Have you seen ads like this? How do they make you feel? Let’s talk. — Dr. Cody

Protein isn’t just food…
Today’s inspiration mesage Here’s your reminder today: protein isn’t just “food”… it’s building material. When you eat enough high-quality protein (especially from meats), you’re literally giving your body the amino acids it uses to repair, stabilize, and regenerate. Here’s what protein helps your body do (especially after 40): ✅ Protect lean muscle → your metabolic engine ✅ Build hormones + enzymes → the chemistry that drives fat loss, energy, and recovery ✅ Stabilize blood sugar → fewer cravings, fewer crashes ✅ Support your immune system → stronger internal defense ✅ Increase satiety → you feel satisfied instead of fighting hunger all day And this part matters: When protein is consistently low, the body often experiences it as scarcity. Scarcity creates stress signals. Stress signals create cravings. Cravings create the “why am I snacking again?” loop. So today, let’s keep it simple: Intention for the day: “I’m going to feed my body what it needs to feel strong and secure.” At your next meal, build your plate around a real protein anchor: 🥩 beef / bison 🍗 chicken / turkey 🐟 fish 🍳 eggs Not perfect. Just consistent. Because when you give the body what it needs… it stops screaming for what it’s missing. 🔥 Drop a “PROTEIN ✅” in the comments if you’re committing to prioritizing your protein today 👇
Sweet treat recipe…
It’s been a lot of fun reintroducing foods back in my diet! I have been loving the Date Carmel I make and dip apple slices in! It’s super simple… pit about 10 dates and soak them in boiling hot water for 15 minutes. Separate out the water put the dates in a blender and pour half the water in with the dates as well as some salt and cinnamon! You can even blend it with coconut milk if you want. You blend it until it’s nice and creamy! I highly recommend this sweet treat!!! 🙌✨🤤
