Weekly Watch Lover Shoutouts ⌚️
Gentlemen, here are a few standout posts from Watch Lover this week. Shoutout to @Warren Money for the “White dial Wednesday or Tuesday” post. Simple, fun, and clearly engaging — this one sparked one of the strongest comment threads of the week. Post: https://www.skool.com/watch-lover/white-dial-wednesday-818023b0 Shoutout to @Scott Critchfield for the Graduation Day post. A proud family milestone paired with a great watch moment — exactly the kind of personal story that makes this community more than just watches. Post: https://www.skool.com/watch-lover/graduation-day And shoutout to @James Milson for the Casio G-Shock 5610 post. A great reminder that practical, reliable watches can create just as much conversation as luxury pieces. Post: https://www.skool.com/watch-lover/casio-g-shock-5610 Keep sharing what’s on your wrist, why you chose it, and the stories behind the watches. That’s what keeps this community moving!

The most expensive mistake in watch collecting isn't the watch
You've seen it happen — maybe you've lived it. A piece that looked right on paper, felt wrong on the wrist, and lost value the moment you tried to move it. A "deal" from a seller whose reputation you couldn't verify. A reference you passed on because you didn't know enough yet, and regretted six months later. None of that is a spending problem. It's an information problem. And information in this hobby isn't hard to find — it's hard to trust. YouTube has opinions. Forums have arguments. Hype pages have agendas. None of it tells you what to do with your specific budget, taste, and collection goals. That's the gap Watch Lover Premium closes. You get direct access to serious collectors and experts who've made the mistakes so you don't have to. Live calls where you can bring a real purchase decision and leave with a real answer. Trusted vendor relationships built over years, not hours of research. A community where the baseline level of knowledge is genuinely high. The collection you're trying to build in two years, alone — some of these men built it in twelve months, together. The room you're in determines the speed you move at. My Grandfather’s Watch
My mom was going through some of her keepsakes this weekend. And she showed me this watch that belonged to my grandfather. I haven’t heard of Sharp brand watches. Above the six it has “railroad” on it, which makes sense because he worked on the railroad for a long time. My guess is the watch is from the mid-1970s.

Orient Bambino 3
Last minute emergency trip for work, less than 24 hour notice turned into a month on the road. Needed an inexpensive dress watch to complete my longer term capsule wardrobe. Nice Orient Bambino 3 in the blue color way worked quite nicely in that role. They provide a LOT of value for the price. Today found me on the road again for a graduation.

WOTW (Watches of the Weekend) - 16-17 May
A little slack in the weekend posts, however a quick catchup is here 16 May, I ran with the Praesidus Victory Sands - Cream Won from TWB on a Khaki Strap Habit sailcoth. 17 May, I am running with the Monterey Watch Co Black Tip GMT - Alfred Yesterday when walking around the shopping centre I spied a Rolex GMT Master 2 with looks almost exactly like Alfred. At under 1/20th the price Alfred is amazing.
