For those of you who like the look of Richard Mille but not the price tag, I stumbled across this Matthis Bernard brand. Similar look, significantly lower price tag. Found this at an Estate Sale and wasn’t working. Risked the $100 asking price and took it to my Jeweler. Said the waterproof seal had gone but easily fixable. $68 later, I have a new retail watch of $450, that shows out of stock.

I was browsing marketplace this evening and noticed this Bulova Marine Star for $30. Seller said it works but needs a battery (If it’s not ticking when you pick it up, it might be scrap). First thing on my bench, I popped a battery in, and it does work! Step 2 was to remove the bracelet and get it into the ultrasonic (in there now). Tomorrow, I’ll start measuring for a new crystal- possibly upgraded to sapphire. I’ll also do some thinking about that bezel insert, Stay tuned- I’ll post again when it’s cleaned up.
