Inner Critic
Your Inner Critic Isn’t the Boss of You
We all have that little voice inside – the one that whispers “you’re not ready… what if you fail… what will people think?” That’s your inner critic.
It’s not truth. It’s just an old survival pattern, wired to keep you “safe” from rejection, failure, or judgment. But safe isn’t where growth lives. Safe is where we shrink.
The powerful shift comes when you realise: you don’t have to obey that voice. You can override it.
👉 When the critic says “don’t try” – you can choose to act anyway.👉 When it says “you’ll embarrass yourself” – you can back yourself and step forward with courage.👉 When it says “who do you think you are?” – you can answer: “I am someone who dares.”
Every time you do the thing your critic warns you against, you build self-trust. You prove to yourself that you are braver, stronger, and more capable than the voice allows.
This is how confidence is born. Not by silencing the critic completely, but by choosing not to let it run the show.
✨ What brave thing is your inner critic trying to talk you out of right now – and how could you back yourself instead?
