New Video: Top 4 levers for blood sugar health
Hey everyone 💛 I just posted a new video, and honestly, this one felt necessary. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by all the blood sugar "hacks", this one cuts through the noise. The reality: Not all interventions move the needle the same way. Or have two for 1 deals aka help with blood sugar and a gazillion other things. It doesn't make all blood sugar hack wrongs (although some definitely are) but if it's ahead of these 4 levers you need to reconsider what you are choosing to focus on first. Most of us need to learn majoring in the minors ;) This video walks through what actually rises to the top when you look at human research and what deserves your energy first, second, and last. It's not about doing everything. It's about knowing where to start. Let me know what lands (or what doesn't) curious to hear your thoughts on the concepts of constraints. Your comments are like my fuel jet for the next video :) If you like what I'm putting out liking the video and commenting directly on YT really helps me out :) 👉 Subscribe to my YT and comment
Shift Society Exclusive Video Drop Review of Glucose Goddess Hacks
I wanted to share something a little special with you. This is my very first Shift Society insiders-only video, and I want to start by thanking @Anya Grace Krasnov (if you have a question you can pitch a video idea here), who gently pulled me into a really interesting rabbit hole with one thoughtful question. That single question sparked a lot of ideas for me, and I think I’m going to sit with this topic for a bit cause blood sugar is an very important topic for metabolic health with or without PCOS. What I care about most with this kind of content is accessibility and clarity. Not more noise, not more “rules,” but a way to understand what we’re actually looking at and how to place it in context. I’m working on another video that will explore what the research tends to focus on when we talk about blood sugar, and how different recommendations stack up relative to each other. What Glucose Goddess and I agree on. Not a hacks list in the usual sense. For so many reasons that language doesn’t really fit my philosophy but more of a way to think about priorities and evidence without everything feeling equally urgent. But this one here is just for you. Shift Society is still very new, and you’re here early. Thank you for trusting me and for being part of these early conversations. In this video, I walk through my thoughts on the popular, international best selling author Glucose Goddess. What it’s based on, what question it’s actually answering, and where it fits within the bigger picture of metabolic health. After you watch, I’d love to hear your reflections.💛
Lab Clarity Mini Series Ep2 Diagnosis Labs vs Monitoring Labs
In this episode, we zoomed out and talked about why PCOS labs can feel so confusing especially when diagnosis labs and monitoring labs get mixed together. Reminder about the bonus 🎁 If you leave a short comment under each video in this mini series (there are 5): - Skool automatically gives you points - When you reach Level 2, you’ll unlock the PCOS Lab Tracker - No extra steps needed it unlocks automatically No deadlines. No pressure. Just small moments of showing up. When you’re ready, move on to Episode 3 [Comin' next week] 💛 There’s no expectation to “do” anything perfectly here. This is about clarity, not completion. Choose one option — whatever feels easiest: ✋ Raise your hand if this helped you see why not everyone with PCOS needs the same labs OR 💬 Share one word that captures how labs have felt for you before (confusing, overwhelming, validating, unclear, etc.) OR 🎬 Drop an emoji or GIF that fits the vibe One sentence, emoji, or GIF is plenty. Choose one of the options below whatever feels easiest: ✋ Raise your hand if you identify as a bit of a wallflower in groups OR 💬 Share one word that comes to mind when you think about labs OR 🎬 Drop a GIF or emoji that captures the vibe of how you feel when you think about labs That’s it. One small moment of showing up counts. (And yes, wallflowers are very welcome here 💛) 💜 Mel
Video Drop: Filters to Use When Choosing A Supplement
I just posted a new video, and it came out of a really good question someone asked here recently about a blood sugar supplement they saw. I checked out the website. Very impressive. Well-designed site. International best seller. Lots of PubMed links. Big claims. So I clicked on the supplement to check out the ingredient list and that's when it got interesting. Definitely something I was aware of but I could think of 5-10 better things I'd do first. So. This is case study about how I walk through how I decide what’s actually worth my attention when everything sounds good. It's not just is there evidence. It's is this my next best step? How does this evidence compare to others in this arena. If you’ve ever wondered: - “How much does this evidence really mean?” - “Is this the thing I should focus on first?” - “What’s being said… and what’s not?” This video will probably land. There’s also a Shift Society Exclusive bonus for the community where I share the exact decision filter I use so you’re not chasing every new ‘glucose hack’ that pops up.
