Lab Clarity Mini Series Ep2 Diagnosis Labs vs Monitoring Labs
In this episode, we zoomed out and talked about why PCOS labs can feel so confusing especially when diagnosis labs and monitoring labs get mixed together. Reminder about the bonus 🎁 If you leave a short comment under each video in this mini series (there are 5): - Skool automatically gives you points - When you reach Level 2, you’ll unlock the PCOS Lab Tracker - No extra steps needed it unlocks automatically No deadlines. No pressure. Just small moments of showing up. When you’re ready, move on to Episode 3 [Comin' next week] 💛 There’s no expectation to “do” anything perfectly here. This is about clarity, not completion. Choose one option — whatever feels easiest: ✋ Raise your hand if this helped you see why not everyone with PCOS needs the same labs OR 💬 Share one word that captures how labs have felt for you before (confusing, overwhelming, validating, unclear, etc.) OR 🎬 Drop an emoji or GIF that fits the vibe One sentence, emoji, or GIF is plenty. Please don’t share personal medical details this is a public space. Quick check-in (comment right here 👇)
Lab Clarity Mini Training Episode 1 Drop
Over the past year, more than a thousand people have said “yes please” to my PCOS Lab Checklist and mini-training. And today was revamp day. Not because anything was broken but because I wanted to make this easier to actually use. What’s new in 2.0 Instead of one longer training video, this is now: - ✨ 5 short, bingeable videos - ✨ Each focused on one idea - ✨ Designed to lower overwhelm, not add to it You don’t need to watch everything at once. You don’t need the checklist open while you’re watching. Just take it one video at a time. How this works (and how the bonus unlocks) - Each episode has a post underneath it (like this one) - If you leave a short comment under each video, Skool tracks that automatically - When you’ve commented on all 5 videos, you’ll reach Level 2 🎁 At Level 2, you unlock the PCOS Lab Tracker (Coming soon, but you'll get immediate access) A private tool to help you keep your lab info organized in one place and connect the dots for your body. Please don’t share personal medical information this is a public space. Let’s start with Episode 1 👇 Before moving on, leave a quick comment right here. Choose one of the options below whatever feels easiest: ✋ Raise your hand if you identify as a bit of a wallflower in groups OR 💬 Share one word that comes to mind when you think about labs OR 🎬 Drop a GIF or emoji that captures the vibe of how you feel when you think about labs That’s it. One small moment of showing up counts. (And yes, wallflowers are very welcome here 💛) 💜 Mel
What about functional medicine for PMOS [PCOS]?
Someone in here @LaShana -Shun Hubert asked me a simple question. "Is functional medicine good for PMOS/PCOS?" I was ready to fire off a quick answer... and then I just sat there. Completely stomped. So instead of forcing a fast reply, I got really curious about why I felt so conflicted. Old me would have said yes in two seconds. The language of functional medicine matches things I actually like... thoughtful investigation, looking past surface symptoms and tring to connect the bigger story, trusting the body to give signal. But there's a layer underneath this question that almost nobody talks about. And once I started pulling on it, I couldn't give a clean yes or no. So I recorded my real answer instead. It's the answer I'd give a friend. Watch below. And if you've ever wondered whether you're working with the right kind of practitioner... PMOS (PCOS) or otherwise... this one's for you.

Why You Shouldn't Ignore High Cholesterol With PCOS - Even in your 20s
🔍 What if that “borderline” cholesterol isn’t so borderline? I’ve been thinking about all the times my patients were told:“You’re young.”“You’re active.”“Just lose weight.”…all while their cholesterol was quietly waving a red flag 🚩 Here’s what’s often missed: ➡️ PCOS messes with cholesterol in very specific ways ➡️ That slightly-high LDL in your 20s? It matters more than you think ➡️ FH (a genetic cause of high cholesterol) that might hide behind a PCOS diagnosis ➡️ And yes, even with “normal weight” and a solid diet, this can still show up. Which is why everybody in every size deserves a cholesterol conversation irrespective of size. 🎥 I just released a new video breaking this down: “Why You Should Test Your Cholesterol with PCOS — Even in Your 20s” This was a video pitch requested by our @Hannah Granados This one's for you! Hope it helps. And if there are gaps or other angles you'd love covered. Pitch it here (and to everyone who is watching this video): Pitch A Video Idea It's never too later to participate in your first Sunday Shift. You came here for change. Change starts with focus and commitment. We got you. How To post Your Weekly Shift <2 min.

My special way of saying thanks for being here. A community without a community isn't a community, and you bet I'll never take that for granted. 💜 Mel
