Shorter guy question
Gents - I’m on the shorter side (5’6”) and have purchased clothing from the usual suspects in the past - Ash &n Erie, Peter Manning, Under 5’10” etc. While I’ve been relatively satisfied with those purchases, their clothing can be a bit on the higher $$, so I’d be curious to hear some thoughts regarding the quality of these retailers while taking into account the elimination of the tailor tax since they offer lenghts and sizes that most retailer do not. Also, any other retailers that you may recommend for quality chinos, wool trousers, dress shirts, sportcoats, etc that are on par with those mentioned above but may be higher quality and more economical even factoring in a tailor tax. Thanks!

💡 Style Tip: Match Your Leathers - do you follow this rule?
One of the oldest style rules for men is this: your leathers should match. That means your belt, shoes and watch strap should all be in the same color family. Why? Because mismatched leathers can throw your whole look off. A polished black oxford with a light brown belt? Distracting. But when the tones line up - it shows you pay attention to detail. Now - does this mean you can never bend the rule? Not at all. - Casual outfits allow more flexibility (think sneakers with a canvas or NATO strap). - Dark brown with medium brown can still work if the textures complement each other. - Some guys even break the rule intentionally for contrast. It’s less about being rigid and more about knowing when the match matters. 👉 Do you always follow this rule - or do you break it when the outfit calls for it?

Judge my look if you would
Im in need of honest feedback back from anybody who's willing to give it. How does this look? Is the coat too dressy looking with the bowtie? Is the red and blue too much contrast? Let me know, and be brutally honest. Another thing I've only just started expanding my wardrobe. So alot my stuff is either random things I found somewhere or taken from a suit, e.g those pants I'm wearing are from a suit.
