Two months without alcohol â and I can honestly say itâs one of the best decisions Iâve made for my mental health. The turning point came the morning I nearly cancelled plans to finally meet my celebrity crush at a Comic Con in London, Danielle Campbell - The Originals. Iâd had a few drinks the night before (4 beers, 2 red wines, 2 Old Fashionedâs and Tequila Rose), woke up foggy, anxious, and very nearly talked myself out of going. I pushed through, had breakfast and plenty of tea â it turned out to be an amazing day. But it also opened my eyes to how much alcohol had been quietly draining me: my energy, confidence, and focus. The very next day, I signed up to BetterHelp and started working on myself properly â mentally, physically, and emotionally. Since then, the changes have been huge. My gym trainingâs consistent, my motivationâs back, and Iâm finally building myself up again. Iâm not cutting alcohol out of my life completely â Iâm going to Scotland for a whisky tour in 2 weeks, which Iâm super excited for, but my relationship with it has changed. These past two months have been about getting clarity back, both in my head and in my habits. It honestly feels so good to be back in control of my lifestyle again - Iâve even taken up yoga! Curious if any of you guys have gone through something similar â what changes did you notice when you cut back or quit drinking? Of course, I couldnât post without sharing a photo from the day where Iâm trying to act cool, but Iâm actually more nervous than Iâd ever been!
