Today is a day marked by a special planetary alignment AND it's also a milestone in my life—cheers to years young!
On this day, I celebrate the 7th anniversary of my life-changing stem cell transplant, graciously given by an anonymous donor. My doctors called this my rebirth, as every cell in my body was regenerated from that point forward.
I often joke that I am a 'community project.' I was saved by the generosity of strangers who donated blood, plasma, stem cells, prepared meals, and offered life itself, along with comedy, smiles, long hugs, and so much more—sustaining me through my most challenging times.
For those who can give in these ways, know that your contributions can profoundly impact lives, just as they did mine.
