Question re Skool App
I'm not too computer savvy. Do I have to use the Skool app? Or, can I go without?

There's an app?
Hearts belonging
Lately I’ve been thinking about belonging. I struggled to find it among people growing up, but in the forest i felt safe and held by the trees. They felt like listeners to me. During a sit a while back, my nervous system had eased just enough(thanks!) to hear, and feel, quite a similar steady holding from my own heartbeat. It made me wonder where might the earth beat? The trees listened, but when I started listening back, i've found they have SO much to teach. I'm reminded of a line from AURORA’s The Essence: “As the trees- cry their leaves... vulnerable, just like me.” It’s from one of my favorite albums, What Happened to The Heart? Im wondering what you may have learned from trees? Or what words, lyrics, or images have opened your heart lately? Heres a melty bead heart i made at the inpatient mental health facility I was recently at. Its special to me because my wounds, brokenness, haven't gone away, love grows around them.

For Courage 🤍
At the end of our Gratitude Experience on Sunday, I felt called to share a blessing by the Irish poet and philosopher John O’Donohue. His book 'To Bless the Space Between Us' is one I return to often, and if you’ve been with us for a while, you’ve likely heard me draw from its pages before. As we ended our time together, I offered his blessing 'For Courage'. A reminder that as the Equinox ushers in a new season, we too are always changing. Each shift in season asks us to trust the unknown and to call on the light within to guide our next steps. I am deeply grateful for the way this community shows up, again and again, in presence, in heart, and in courage. Thank you for what we created together on Sunday. 🌿✨ FOR COURAGE When the light around you lessens And your thoughts darken until Your body feels fear turn Cold as a stone inside, When you find yourself bereft Of any belief in yourself And all you unknowingly Leaned on has fallen When one voice commands Your whole heart, And it is raven dark, Steady yourself and see That it is your own thinking That darkens your world, Search and you will find A diamond-thought of light, Know that you are not alone And that this darkness has purpose; Gradually it will school your eyes To find the one gift your life requires Hidden within this night-corner. Invoke the learning Of every suffering You have suffered. Close your eyes. Gather all the kindling About your heart To create one spark. That is all you need To nourish the flame That will cleanse the dark Of its weight of festered fear. A new confidence will come alive To urge you toward higher ground Where your imagination Will learn to engage difficulty As its most rewarding threshold! P.S. Long live Catherine O'hara haha 😆

🌙 Welcome Vala | A Guardian in Our Community
It feels so aligned to share that Vala’s name, Valgerður, means “guardian of the fallen”... Shavasana. When she stepped into this role as Moderator, it was striking to learn this connection. Her namesake speaks of guardianship, fate, and transition. In many ways, she embodies that here: A guide through rest, through Shavasana, and through the deep interconnectedness of life. I have had the honour of witnessing Vala’s journey for some time now. She has explored four cycles of the Peace in Rest program and was part of the very first Nova Nidra Teacher Training. What stands out most is the way she has moved from being a quiet, steady presence to expressing her voice with such clarity and care. She now inspires others to do the same. Vala is an explorer of lineage, language, art, plants, fungi, rocks, poetry, sound, philosophy, mythology, and so much more. She has a way of reminding us that everything is connected. Connection is her devotion, her curiosity, her humour. It is such an honour to welcome Vala into this role. Thank you, Vala, for the depth you bring, for your caring and deep commitment to this community, and for walking alongside us as a guardian and a voice of inspiration.

Thank You for Being Here
🖤✨ A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined the Gratitude Experience yesterday. Your presence made it unforgettable. 🙏 You helped co-create a space of remembrance for the beauty that already surrounds us and the abundance that flows when we pause long enough to feel it. I'd love to hear from you... What was one moment, insight, or feeling that stood out for you? Drop it in the comments... *take a deep breath to honour it now* ✨ This is how we keep the energy moving. Gratitude is a way of being that transforms our relationship with everything. Let’s keep checking in with what’s already here. With so much love and awe for this community.

I took your advice in the follow up letter and took a moment to name something I was grateful for that day, no matter how small. I had sent a text to a buddy I haven't talked to for a while. I had a strange sense of gratitude for myself.
