I have been pondering on this one since you’ve posted it @Vala Thorvaldsd I like it, and I can see how some people around me are very good at this. Leraning to be more selfish here…
🌙 Welcome Vala | A Guardian in Our Community
It feels so aligned to share that Vala’s name, Valgerður, means “guardian of the fallen”... Shavasana. When she stepped into this role as Moderator, it was striking to learn this connection. Her namesake speaks of guardianship, fate, and transition. In many ways, she embodies that here: A guide through rest, through Shavasana, and through the deep interconnectedness of life. I have had the honour of witnessing Vala’s journey for some time now. She has explored four cycles of the Peace in Rest program and was part of the very first Nova Nidra Teacher Training. What stands out most is the way she has moved from being a quiet, steady presence to expressing her voice with such clarity and care. She now inspires others to do the same. Vala is an explorer of lineage, language, art, plants, fungi, rocks, poetry, sound, philosophy, mythology, and so much more. She has a way of reminding us that everything is connected. Connection is her devotion, her curiosity, her humour. It is such an honour to welcome Vala into this role. Thank you, Vala, for the depth you bring, for your caring and deep commitment to this community, and for walking alongside us as a guardian and a voice of inspiration.

Thank You for Being Here
🖤✨ A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined the Gratitude Experience yesterday. Your presence made it unforgettable. 🙏 You helped co-create a space of remembrance for the beauty that already surrounds us and the abundance that flows when we pause long enough to feel it. I'd love to hear from you... What was one moment, insight, or feeling that stood out for you? Drop it in the comments... *take a deep breath to honour it now* ✨ This is how we keep the energy moving. Gratitude is a way of being that transforms our relationship with everything. Let’s keep checking in with what’s already here. With so much love and awe for this community.

It was lovely and it felt very special, like being part of something greater, like a new movement…, big thanks to Chris, Ayla, and Cat. 🙏🙏🙏 What stayed with me is espeically the gratitude for a difficult experience or a difficult period! And the different languages of gratitude. Then I wondered do we know… @Ayla Nova which one is yours? Then we know how to thank you so that you really feel it 😊

When I dance, I break free…
Wanted to share this text by Gabrielle Roth (founder of the 5Rhymts), I made this photo yesterday during my 5Rhytms dance session. Our teacher had this hanging under her dj set. I relate to every word of it and it is magical. Together with YogaNidra, this dancing (with a group) has been my source of transformation and healing. And it is becoming more and more ecstatic 🤩 When I dance, I break free. I make up my own steps, Let the beat all the way into my soul. I ride on the waves of the music like a surfer. I bump against parts of myself, Go between, around, strecht what I know. I go where I have never been. Through dance I’ve journeyed Through my body Into my heart Past my mind Into another dimension of existence, A dimension I call ectasy, Total communion with spirit. 🙏🙏🙏

@Cat Jones try 5Rhytms or Ecstatic dancing if there is something like that in your neighborhood. No alcohol, no talking, just dance
The Restorative Power of Gratitude
As the week comes to a close, it’s easy to remember the things we didn’t finish, the moments that felt heavy or the places we wish we had shown up differently. But gratitude has a way of softening those edges. It doesn’t erase what was difficult, but it shifts the way we hold it. In Yoga Nidra, even a simple reflection on one thing we’re grateful for can calm the nervous system and invite a state of rest. Gratitude opens the door to presence. Take a moment to pause. Breathe. And let one memory, one small thing you’re thankful for this week, rise to the surface. What is it for you? SHARE it below. Your gratitude might spark someone else’s. Remember to SIGN UP to the Virtual Gratitude Experience! ✧ Sept 21, 2025 | 10AM PT | Virtual ✧ 90 min online gathering ✧ Invite only (You have to Sign Up!) ✧ meaningful connection, reflection, and, of course, gratitude. ✧ mission: leaving people better than we find them.
