When I was in San Pancho, Mexico, I got into a little routine. SHARE your morning routine below! Wake up before sunrise. Walk down to the ocean with @Laura Rose Sit with the waves for a while before the world woke up. One morning, I realized… this would be the perfect sound for a Yoga Nidra. So I recorded the waves you hear in the Pisces practice (in the Pisces season... like come on how perfect) right there at dawn. There’s something about the rhythm of the ocean that just naturally slows the nervous system down. It reminds us that we don’t have to fix or figure out everything… We can simply observe the tides moving through. Very VERY Pisces.... hey @Thomas Scheppat and @Arno Koch !? The little prayer I placed into this practice is simple: that you feel complete and whole just as you are. If you listen, come back and tell me how it lands for you. And if you feel like giving it a little love on YouTube (comment + like), that tiny gesture really does help the practice reach more people who might need it. Also… send it to your ocean lover firends and Pisces humans 🐟 Nova Nidra Supporters | Listen Here Free Members | YouTube

7-Days to Re-Align
over the next seven days, I’m going to be taking some time to rest & restore and would love your insights, but first, a little update. i was invited, somewhat last minute, to guide a yoga nidra practice at a beautiful women’s retreat. with everything moving through my heart lately, it felt like A FULL-BODY soul-aligned ‘YES’. while i’m there, i’ll be turning inward. listening. gathering inspiration. allowing space for what wants to emerge next for this community and beyond. you may not hear from me quite as much over the next few days. and i trust you. this space continues because you continue. in the meantime, i gently suggest revisiting the seven-day REST & RESTORE chakra series. move through it slowly. choose the one that calls to you. or begin again from the root and journey upward. and here’s something i’d love to invite… If you were to attend a retreat designed exactly for you… what would it include? more silence? nature walks? deep conversation? long yoga nidras? nervous system workshops? journaling by candlelight? share with me below. i’m listening 😉😉 Connect with you all again soon!

DAY 21 of 28 | welcoming lightness
I was reluctant to share this. Often, guides and teachers are believed to have it all together. Awakened and cool as cucumbers. But I am going to be real with you. I still feel everything you feel. I have a system. And yes, it works. But it is not linear. Here is the radical and honest truth: Sometimes things ache into the marrow of your bones. This past year has been marked by significant loss for me. The Year of the Snake has revealed gifts I would not have chosen, yet somehow needed. Yes, I call this grief a gift (and I know not everyone will agree). Not because it feels good. But because it mirrors how deeply I have loved. The pain is in direct proportion to the love. And some days it presses against my ribs like it wants to be known. What is the alternative? Numbness? At one point in my life, I would have chosen that. An old familiar mask. A quiet disappearance. But losing everything once before taught me something sacred. Numbing is best replaced with intention. 'No thing' can hold us if we are willing to feel. So now, each morning and night, I whisper my sankalpa. I surrender to stillness. I release the need to fix what hurts. I allow myself to be held by something larger than my fear. The void has become a safe place. And still, grief visits. Today, after my Nidra, it crept back in. Heavy. Low and settling into my chest. For a moment, I felt that old pull to retreat. Instead, I stood up and went for a walk. I sent gratitude to the trees. To the lake. To the mountains. To the winter wind brushing my cheeks. To the warm coat wrapped around my body. I even sent gratitude to the ache in my heart... And slowly, something shifted. The tightness began to loosen. My breath deepened. AND I AM NOT KIDDING YOU... The sun came out. It just simply arrived. I turned toward it and smiled while tears ran down my face. My sweet Sun. My remembrance. I am safe. I am alive. I am. Lightness does not always announce itself. Sometimes it comes as relief.

Beautiful Ayla! It can all exist. Teachers or therapists… no we indeed don’t have it all figured out. No cucumbers 🥒 … luckily! (although I love a good cucumber from a vegetable garden! 🤣) I wouldn’t want to exchange my grief for the numbness either. Thanks for sharing and for your vulnerability. And when the heaviness and light(ness) can coexist ….when they are both welcome… they move through us, we move through them, we know we have loved and we have lived. The gifts are in most unexpected places, I have learned this from you. 🙏🫶❤️
