🎨 Coloring Outside the Lines🎨
In my last Yoga Nidra, something new and kind of beautiful happened for me.
As we moved into the Anamaya Kosha and the rotation of consciousness I started visualizing my body like a page I was slowly coloring in. ✍️
Without ever lifting the pencil, I just kept shading. Gently, completely, letting the color spill past the edges of my skin. I was aware that I was NOT staying within the 'lines' or feeling confined by the boundaries of my body. It reminded me of pratyahara—that moment in practice where the senses start turning inward---when the inward and outward blend together.
During rotation of consciousness, we usually think of attention jumping from one point to another--elbow, wrist, little finger… But this time, it felt like I was slowly filling myself in with awareness. Shading in every part. Messy, playful and FUN!
I know we've touched on this before as a community, but since our practice is ever-evolving, I would love to know:
🌀How do you visualize the body during rotation of consciousness?
🌀What does pratyahara feel like to you---if you've ever felt it?
🌀Would love to hear what comes up.
Maybe your image or metaphor is the doorway someone else has been waiting for 💭
And a very warm WELCOME to all the new faces in here---so glad you’ve landed with us 🌀💗
