What state of rest do you need most right now?
Not everyone needs the same kind of rest, and I think naming the specific kind helps clarify where I can support you on your Yoga Nidra journey.

I am gradually coming down from the high of an intensive year's work and am hitting daily pockets of exhaustion. I know that it will all level out in the weeks ahead and that quiet time and nidras will get me there...
Whoopsies...
Life handed me an unexpected lesson in my own medicine this week. After yoga class, I fell riding home and broke and twisted my pinky finger. I'm now in a fairly dramatic hand brace, and I've got a specialist visit next week — fingers crossed (the ones that still bend) that we can avoid a full cast. So here's the irony I'm sitting with: I teach rest and restoration for a living, and now my body is asking me to actually practice it. I'm leaning on Yoga Nidra to help my nervous system settle, support the healing, and keep me company through the discomfort. It's humbling and kind of beautiful to be on the receiving end of the work. A practical note: Tidal Hearts Yoga Nidra won't release tonight as planned. The fall caused some technical difficulties on my end, so I'm giving it the time it needs to come out right. Thank you for your patience. If you've got a prayer or a good thought to spare, I'll happily take it. 🙏

Congratulations to all our new teachers!
Bold take: yoga nidra isn’t a sleep practice 🤫
I'll say it again for the people in the back: yoga nidra is not a sleep practice. It's a consciousness practice that happens to heal sleep as a side effect. When we reduce it to "the thing that helps you sleep," we accidentally cut off 90% of what's available. One of our Peace in Rest members put it this way: "It's not a quick fix if you're not in a place to commit to setting some time aside. It's spiritual. It is a practice." And another: "I approached it to get better sleep and then I had no idea the depth of yoga nidra." So here's my question for you this week: What's the part of this practice you didn't see coming? What surprised you? What opened up? What shifted that you weren't looking for? I want to hear it all. The unexpected stuff is where the real teaching lives.

@Ayla Nova .... I totally agree... so many deep layers unfolding... I find myself ebbing and flowing.... recently I have reverted to using Yoga Nidra for deep sleep since I am feeling exhausted from work... but when I can achieve a certain level or a basic level of rest, the nidra moves into another realm entirely- a spiritual experience... awakening.
Help those who need it most...
This one's been sitting on my heart, heart, heart. 🤍 A conversation a few weeks ago stopped me completely. Someone went to Mexico... not for a vacation, but for a mission to build homes for families living on dirt floors. And it made me think about everything we take for granted every time we roll out our mats. Watch the full video to learn more. I'm sharing something I really hope lands in your heart, too. 🏡 SUPPORT BUILDING HOMES FOR FAMILIES
