Is this why you struggle to build muscle? 🧐
Skool family, real talk for a second… What if the reason you're not seeing muscle growth has nothing to do with your protein intake or exercise selection? What if it's actually about how much work you're doing per muscle group — and whether that work even counts? 👉👉 I put together a Loom 🎥 explaining training volume and why most people get this completely backwards. And no, I'm not talking about: - Grinding out 3-hour gym sessions - Copying some influencer's 30-set arm day - Destroying yourself until you can’t walk I'm talking about finding the sweet spot between doing enough to grow and doing so much you can't recover. When our clients nail this, here's what happens: - They start seeing actual changes in 3-4 weeks - Workouts feel challenging but not exhausting - Recovery improves dramatically - They stop feeling like they live at the gym - Strength jumps up consistently Some of you are doing 20+ sets and getting nowhere. Others are doing 6 sets and wondering why nothing's happening. Both are missing the same piece. 👉 Want me to break down how to find your personal volume threshold? Drop VOLUME below and I'll shoot you the video. If you're putting in work but your physique looks the same as 3 months ago… you need to watch this. I'll walk you through exactly how to know if you're under-training or over-training. P.S. You could be building muscle under layers of body fat. So make sure you’re nailing the nutrition piece too as you’re making gains! 💪

🌎 Human Kind > Just Being Right
This morning during school drop off, my partner shared something that didn’t sit right with me. Traffic was already crazy. Everyone rushing. The bus in front of him wasn’t moving. People were getting irritated, honking, visibly upset. Turns out… a homeless man had dropped his cart in the middle of the street. All his personal belongings spilled out. He looked like he was trembling and probably high. And the energy from everyone? Anger. Frustration. Impatience. I get it. We all have places to be. Life is busy. But we don’t know his story. We don’t know what trauma, addiction, mental health struggles, or circumstances led him there. Maybe he didn’t “make the best choices.” But maybe he’s also had the hardest life. I told my partner, “Give this man some mercy. He’s already having a horrible day. I doubt he wanted this to happen.” It really bothers me when we forget someone’s humanity over a few minutes of inconvenience. Fitness has taught me something powerful: We are all one hard season away from struggle. We are all fighting something. And grace costs us nothing. Let’s choose human kindness over reaction. Let’s lead with empathy. Let’s be the calm in the chaos. Because strength isn’t just how much you can lift. It’s how much compassion you can carry. 🤍

Someone called me out at the airport 🥹
“You’re Darren, the fitness guy!” Man, I’ll never get bored of it, and it’ll always mean a lot to get stopped in public. The cool part is that it happened at Taipei airport! ☺️ We got people to inspire! Any food recommendations in Taipei??? PS I’m here to do a solo Hyrox race 💪💪
