Q&A With Darren is happening in 5 days
Finally using walking pad
It’s been windy, raining, flood watch, high surf warning here since Saturday. For all islands and I haven’t been able to go out and walk. Started to get fussy and I could hear Darren saying to keep moving. I’ve struggled with using my walking pad…. feeling weird on it but I told myself to suck it up buttercup and just use the dang thing. So put my timer on and walked for 15 minutes. Then I did it again 2X at different times. It wasn’t so bad once I got my rhythm going. Anyway I ended up with 8300 steps. For me that felt like a win since I’ve been fighting with myself to use it. 🙄🙃
Day 4: Consistency in Motion
Today I added 2k more steps than my average and took a walk after dinner. Getting back on track 💪 I really enjoy walking at night — it helps me burn calories, relax my mind, and slow down. Such a good ending to the day 🌙

Day✌🏼
Finding the info in the videos super helpful. Pics from today! -Weighed myself first thing⚖️ -Two protein eggo waffles, blueberries, and Fairlife chocolate protein shake for breakfast🧇🫐 -24oz water💦 -Strength training day: barbell squats, barbell deadlift, barbell row, lateral pulldown, and E-Z bar curl🦵🏼 -Mobility exercises (Darren's YouTube video: "Unf*ck your body in under 10 minutes a day")🙏🏼 -24oz water💦 -Starbucks snack while running errands. I don't like coffee so I get a mango dragonfruit refresher and a pumpkin loaf. I know it isn't the most nutritious but I choose to save calories for this because it gives me caffeine and joy🧋🥐 -Somewhere in there I had a bowl of plain nonfat Greek yogurt with Kind vanilla blueberry granola (yay fiber)🥣 -24oz water💦 -Kid activities = protein bar to tide me over until dinner💪🏼 -Dinner was crab cakes (made by Costco), broccoli, baked potatoes, and milk. I end up only eating one crab cake and half the baked potato because I got really full. 🦀🥔🥦🥛 -Resisted dessert🙌🏼

Day 3
I'm really grateful for all the information in the 5-Day Fat Loss Sprint. Thank you @Darren Liu for providing that here for us! I'm going to dinner and a movie with my husband for Valentine's day next weekend, which is going to mean lots of tempting foods not only at the restaurant but at the movie theater too (buttery popcorn with Buncha Crunch tossed in there is probably 70% of why I go to the movie theater😁). Sooo it's perfect timing for me to have this information fresh in my mind. I will still enjoy and not stress but use these strategies to focus on moderation. I've definitely been guilty in the past of saying, "screw it, I'm already eating terribly today why not eat more." I also typically would starve myself during the day to save calories and then end up overeating when I go out. Today honestly wasn't super great as far as food. I didn't reach my protein goal and went a little over my target calorie range. I still stayed at about maintenance calories. I made myself a really nutritious lunch, but I heated up a pasta meal from Costco out of convenience for dinner which was definitely full of salt and fat. My kids had a half day of school and were bored this afternoon so we made blueberry muffin tops which I told myself I didn't need but ate one anyway because...blueberry muffin top. It's ok though, it's just one day.☺️
Day 3
Day 5
A big win for me has been learning and implementing the 3 golden rules of social meals. Today, I had a high protein breakfast, got in my strength training and mobility exercises, had a snack, got my steps in, and will be going into the football game ready to enjoy some delicious comfort food without binging or feeling like a blob of regret and cheese afterwards.🧀 Another big win has been meeting so many lovely people here. It's been really fun getting to know people from all over the world. The support from this community is invaluable, and I'm so grateful.🤍 Over the next six months I'm really looking forward to reaching my goal of 20% body fat, seeing more muscle definition and feeling stronger, and continuing these lifestyle changes.💪🏼 I worked out with my husband today and he caught these pictures of me trying to use this new pulley contraption I got him for Christmas😅
