Hii lovely Skool Fam,
Thank you all for being my accountability partner(s) during my fasting days.
Your support, encouraging words and check-ins were a constant reminder of my goals and not to give up. This was my first 8 day fast after years… to say I was a little apprehensive at the beginning may be a bit of an understatement. I absolutely did not want to give up halfway or be a potato because it felt a difficult at the moment.
My takeaway from the 8 day fast is that I can do things that I find difficult if I’m willing to reframe my thoughts and be consistent. The more I show up, the more confident I will get.
Also I have to give a special Thank You to for taking on the challenge and completing all 8 days with me. The goal was:
- 8500 steps daily
- Hydrate daily (2.3L for me)
- Move 90 mins daily
- Minimum 4 workouts
Our stats for fun:
got an average of 12845 steps daily, spent an average of 126 mins daily actively moving, stayed hydrated and did 4 workouts during the 8 days. I got an average of 11089 steps daily, spent an average of 130 mins daily actively moving and hit hydration and workout goal as well.
Also managed to hit a new PR of over 10k steps daily for 15 days straight🥳
Once again, Thank you all for asking about the festival, for checking in and for being my accountability partners🫶🏽🙏🏼
You all are the best!💜
Ps. Not that anyone asked but I’m still sharing😬🤣
I used to make lists of ridiculous reasons not to do something while actively doing said task or activity. For example, often while walking I’d be complaining to my self about why walking/movement at that time was difficult.
Here are my top 2 ridiculous (little funny) reasons not to continue:
- The neighbours dog is getting stressed 🐶 For context I was walking in circles. I’m assuming because the dog did not have me in its line of sight at all times it would get stressed. The dog always gives me puppy eyes and patiently waits for me to go pet it… so I shouldn’t be stressing it like that was the thought.
- My shoes and the rocks are trying to kill me. Lol.. while walking I stumbled a few times and had a few sharp rocks get in my shoe.
