What about the other 167 hours of the week?
You might spend an hour in therapy exploring your trauma, understanding your responses, developing new skills and working towards change.
But then you leave that session.
And life continues.

And this is something I believe we don't talk about enough.
I've seen how valuable therapy is.
But I've also seen how important the space between therapy sessions can be.
It's where we practise what we're learning.
Where we begin to experience relationships differently.
Where we discover that we can be ourselves around other people.
Where we experience being heard, understood and accepted.
It's where healing can become part of everyday life.
