You might be caring more than you realize
Mental load can look like remembering, anticipating, planning, checking, reminding....all the little things your brain quietly keeps track of. I made a quick quiz to hep you see what yours looks like right now. If you're curious, you can take it here. ➡️ Find your mental load quiz

🌍 Have you moved internationally for work?
Can I borrow 30 minutes of your experience? I’m spending September doing some research into what international family life actually looks like today, and I’m looking for a few people who would be willing to have a 30-minute conversation with me. I’d particularly love to speak to you if, within roughly the last five years, you have: ✅ moved overseas for your own international role or assignment ✅ accompanied a partner who moved internationally for work ✅ moved as a family with some form of employer support, relocation package, allowance or relocation company I’m interested in the whole experience, from deciding to go and preparing for the move, through actually building a life overseas and, where relevant, moving again or repatriating. There’s nothing to prepare, no right or wrong answers, and I’m not selling anything. I’m simply researching how international family life and employer support work today. If this sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you. And if someone immediately springs to mind, please feel free to send them my way. Thank you! 🩷🌍

A little mental load reminder
You can be resting and still be mentally working. I made this little Mental Load Insight about the anticipating we do: at home, at work, in our businesses… everywhere. Sharing it here in case you need the reminder too. 🩷

I Didn't Expect First 100 Subscribers To Feel Like This
𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀. Objectively, that's a tiny YouTube channel. Emotionally? It feels pretty damn good. Today I crossed 100 subscribers. But the interesting part wasn't the number. It was watching the channel slowly move from: 14K views to 15K to 16K to 18K within August. And eventually getting into the 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟮𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝗞 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲. That's when I realized something. Most people don't have a motivation problem. They have a 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. They spend weeks thinking about the niche. The camera. The editing. The thumbnail. The perfect first video. Meanwhile, someone else starts with something imperfect and learns in public. I've been guilty of overthinking too. So this milestone is a good reminder: 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁. Sometimes starting is how you get the proof. I'd genuinely love to know: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?

New Podcast: What Makes a Community Actually Work?
𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲. This time I sat down with 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮 & 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗱 to talk about something I think a lot of people building online are dealing with: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁? We went through 5 mistakes that can slowly kill an online community and some practical ways to fix them. We also got into their own journey from education and real estate into online courses, coaching and community building. There were some really honest parts of the conversation, especially around 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. If you're building a community, course or online business, you might get a few ideas from this one. 🎙️ 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗕𝗖 𝗣𝗼𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁: YouTube Link If you watch it, let me know 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁.

@Avinash Khatri 😂😂 Wait a minute, Avi. I never actually TOLD you my prediction. I just said I had one. Nice try though. 😂 I see what you’re doing here. Using me as bait to get people to watch the episode and come back to comment. I’m onto you now. 😂❤️ Fine. I’ll stay locked in. But I’m not revealing mine until we get a few votes. 👀

@Jennifer Rassbach Yes! And I love that you’re already putting it into practice in The Guild, Jennifer. ❤️ “Fewer decisions, clearer next steps” is such a good way to think about it. We can do all the complicated thinking behind the scenes so our members don’t have to. 😂 Definitely come back after you watch. I’d love to hear what else jumps out at you, especially with the changes you’re already making. 🤍
