Premiering Issey Miyake: L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Intense
Today I was taking my dad to a post surgery follow up appointment, so I thought it was a good day to try this one. Its aroma took me by surprise. Itās definitely a particular and multifaceted scent, that might result polarizing for some and more attractive for the matured population. The opening comes across as a bitter citrusy powerhouse, being the uniqueness of the Yuzu the shining star. While the dry down stars to happen, the bitterness tones down and gives space for the spices to enter the scene along with some sweetness that intensifies and enriches the blend. The dry down smoothens while keeping its citrusy and spicy backbone, the resinous, mossy and ambery nuances take their place rounding the scent with a very masculine and robust aroma. The projection and longevity are good (when you overspray it like I do), although many find it as a weak performer. If you spray more including clothes, it will last. Overall, this is a great fragrance to have with an outstanding DNA.
