LEGIT!!!! Ordered two days ago- made a video, not a review. Perfumer is Cécile Zarokian and this is definitely a spicy, woodsy, almost gourmand bomb of a fragrance. I love it! Great blind buy!

Match #33 kicks off the Round of 16 in my 40-fragrance tournament with an absolute heavyweight matchup: Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Elixir versus Dior Sauvage Eau de Parfum. These are two of the most popular designer fragrances of recent years, and for good reason. Le Male Elixir (2023, created by Quentin Bisch) is a cold-weather masterpiece. The blend of vanilla, honey, tobacco, lavender, and tonka bean creates a rich, warm fragrance that's perfect for fall, winter, evenings, and date nights. It's bold without feeling overwhelming and has incredible depth. Dior Sauvage Eau de Parfum (2018, created by François Demachy) plays a different role. Bergamot, Sichuan pepper, lavender, star anise, and a smooth vanilla base make it one of the most versatile fragrances around. Whether it's the office, a casual day out, or an evening event, Sauvage just works. The truth is, both of these deserve a place in my collection, and neither deserves to be knocked out this early. But if I could only keep one bottle, I'd reach for Le Male Elixir. There's just something about that rich vanilla, honey, and tobacco combination that keeps drawing me back. Le Male Elixir advances to the quarterfinals. (I'm very glad no one's actually making me part with Sauvage, though.)
