Figured I’d swing by Burlington on my way home to see if there were any holiday gems laying around. Ended up leaving with an old school classic that I haven’t put my nose on before with Safari. Definitely a vintage kind of vibe but not necessarily barbershop like. Listed as a woody aromatic with an herbal mossy undertone. Quite gentlemanly and can easily be used for dressing up. Second I grabbed Urban Feel to add to my Uomo lineup and this one also smells pretty good. Leans into the brighter fresher realm of scents with a citrus burst through the front gate. The ambroxan is definitely strong on this one and takes some time to simmer down into the woody amber. Dont really get too much of the coffee note but that’s ok considering the other two highlight that accord better. Both, $60. Not so bad. Smell great brothers. Enjoy the rest of the day.

We’ve all been there—you see a great bottle, the hype is real, the reviews are glowing... and then you smell that one note that makes you want to scrub it off immediately. I recently realized my #1 dealbreaker by mistake. I picked up Error 416 (Dua’s version of Bad Boy Le Parfum), and that Cannabis/Hemp note is a hard "no" for me. It doesn’t matter how well the rest of the scent is blended; if that's in there, I’m out. It’s just too literal for my taste. My runner-up is Coconut. Unless I’m literally standing on a beach in the Caribbean, I just don’t want to smell like suntan lotion all day. I want to hear from the group: What is the one note you could not care less about—or flat-out hate—in a fragrance? Is it the "pickled" Sandalwood? The "cat-pee" Blackcurrant?
