Another wearing of this classic scent which opens with clean crisp citrus and sweet cardamom in middle very delightful floral notes and at base woody, ambergris and vetiver. Highly recommended for safe office wearing. Decent projection and great longevity.

Today’s ATH is Legend+. A fresh mass appealing frag that’s great for all seasons. I feel it can shine anywhere except brutal cold. Although it’s not like I work outdoors so honestly 4 season frag for me. Today is a beautiful 65 deg and sunny here. Perfect for this one. As with all the ATH I have, the quality of this is what pulls me in. Work safe and enjoyable. Longevity is good at about 6-7 hours. Projection isn’t offensive and not blowing doors off while still filling a smaller office setting. This is an odd one for me though in that it’s outside my usual jam. What pulls me into it is the high quality that Aaron produces.

SOTD: Santal Austral Overdose Matiere Premiere
Good morning, Fragrance Family, and happy Friday. Today marks the first day of spring, and Chicago is blessing us with temperatures in the 60s. Definitely unseasonably warm for this time of year, but I am going to enjoy every bit of it. I am also looking forward to some fun with my grandsons this weekend when they come in from out of town. My scent of the day is what I like to call Santal Austral Overdose. I layered both the EDP and Extrait formulations from Matiere Premiere, and this has officially taken the crown as my favorite sandalwood fragrance of all time. It is woody, slightly floral, and gently sweet, with a sandalwood accord that gives the fragrance such a deep, smooth, luxurious flow. Layering the EDP and Extrait takes it to another level. It adds more projection and creates an impenetrable sillage bubble that lasts for hours. This fragrance is absolutely ironclad. 10.00 Have a fantastic Friday and enjoy the day, fam.

SOTD: Pegasus by Parfums de Marly
Good Morning Fragrance Family, it is a beautifully crisp morning in the Go. The sun is shining, the air has that clean bite to it, and everything just feels aligned to start the day on the right note. Today is a special one in my household as it is my wife’s birthday, so I let her set the tone for the day. I gave her three options for my scent of the day and she chose Pegasus by Parfums de Marly. That alone makes the wear a little more meaningful. Pegasus holds a special place for me because it was one of my first from the house, and it helped shape my appreciation for that refined, semi-sweet, elegant DNA. This fragrance instantly transports me back to my office days. I am talking about a crisp white dress shirt, perfectly pressed slacks with a crease sharp enough to cut butter, polished shoes, and everything dialed in. There is a professionalism and quiet confidence in this scent that just fits that environment perfectly. In the opening, I get a bright, slightly metallic freshness from the bergamot paired with that signature heliotrope giving it that smooth almond-like, powdery feel. As it transitions, the florals come through in a very refined way, never loud, just supporting the composition. There is a creamy sweetness that develops, but it is never cloying. What really makes Pegasus stand out is that balance between powdery elegance and those nutty, almost earthy undertones that give it depth and character. In the dry down, it settles into a smooth blend of vanilla, sandalwood, and a touch of amber that keeps things warm, slightly sweet, and very wearable. The performance for me has always been solid with good projection early on and a nice, consistent scent bubble that gets you noticed without overwhelming the room. This is one of those fragrances that just works. Office safe, date appropriate, and versatile enough to dress up or down. Definitely a crowd pleaser and a staple in my rotation. I am still giving Pegasus a strong 8.25. It may not be the most complex in the collection, but what it does, it does extremely well.
