Coach’s 2026 release, Pure Platinum Parfum, opens with aromatic lavender, moves into a warm rum heart and settles into cedarwood. A fresh start with a warmer, woody finish. 💰 Coach Blue is on a great sale at Maxaroma: 48% OFF, now $49 for 100 ml EDT. https://get.aspr.app/SH1mjQ I’d love your feedback on this infographic, gents. Do the notes, intensity ratings and seasons match your experience? Is there anything you’d change?

SOTD = Bvlgari Tygar
Let me say that this one opens sharp and fresh. Musk, citrus, ginger and ambroxon are what dominate my olfactory senses from the word go. Projection is moderate to strong for the first couple of hours. Sillage is strong for another 4 to 5 hours. Usually apply between 8-12 sprays of Tygar. Very versatile, classy scent that can be used for any season or reason although I would choose something warmer for cold weather. Knocking off for the high price tag as Turathi Blue smells 85% or more like Tygar. 9.25 / 10.00

FRAGRANCE MYTHS: FACT VS. FICTION
Part 8: If You Can’t Smell Your Fragrance, It Has Disappeared THE MYTH: “I sprayed this fragrance an hour ago and can’t smell it anymore. It must already be gone.” THE REALITY: Your fragrance may have faded, but losing track of it doesn’t prove it has disappeared. Your sensitivity to the smell can decrease while others can still detect the fragrance. THE EXPLANATION: You put on a fragrance, enjoy the opening, and go about your day. After a while, you stop noticing it. Then someone walks past and says, "You smell good." What happened? You’ve been exposed to that fragrance continuously. They’re encountering it with a different recent exposure history. Repeated or prolonged exposure to an odor can reduce your sensitivity to it. This involves olfactory adaptation and habituation, commonly called going nose blind. Research shows that sensitivity can recover with time away from the odor, although recovery varies with exposure and concentration. Your nose is useful, but it isn’t a continuous performance meter. Constantly bringing your wrist to your nose doesn’t give you an independent check. You’re repeatedly exposing yourself to the same application. But we also need to avoid the opposite assumption: every fragrance that fades isn’t secretly projecting like a monster. Sometimes it really has weakened. Sometimes the opening has faded while a quieter base remains. Sometimes you’ve adapted to part of the composition. More than one of these can happen together. That’s why I separate these questions: - Can I detect it close to my skin? That tells me some fragrance remains. - Can someone notice it at normal conversational distance? That helps assess projection. - Can someone catch it as I walk past? That helps assess the scent trail. ( Sillage) A trace against your arm doesn’t mean you’re still filling the room. And your inability to notice it doesn’t mean everyone around you has stopped smelling it. Before adding more sprays, pause. If practical, ask someone who hasn’t been sitting beside you all morning whether they can still detect it and from what distance.
