Travel Scents This Past Week
Been super busy attending numerous customer shows and visiting others. Decided to bring 2 staples for the trip: Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cologne Forte made the cut for daytime use. Even applying 8 sprays it didn't offend anyone. Had a great week wearing this and am satisfied with the performance and scent profile. Dior Homme Intense was the pick for night time wear. This is a nice and strong scent. Could pick it up on my wrist even after showering it is that long lasting.

A master art work with huge Iris which is little not bearable at beginning but when it settles a great dna.

A great scent for casual or dressy wear. Very versatile and won't offend many with it's fresh and powdery scent. Enjoy it!
This is Disturbing!!!
I’m not going to throw anyone under the bus, but a brother reached out to me directly and said he was tired of certain posts and certain people. He asked me how I could keep engaging with a particular brother and even suggested I should boycott that person’s posts. I ignored the message, but I want to say this publicly: This is a Brotherhood of Scent, not a gang. I am not here for followers, I am here to exchange opinions and knowledge. If I want followers, I can start a YouTube Channel !!! I’m not participating in cliques, group pressure, or ganging up on individuals. I’m here for one reason only: the shared love of fragrance. Looking around, it’s obvious there is sometimes an “us against them” mentality here, and it’s a shame. You can see it in the posts, the comments, the likes, the alliances, and the way some people purposely ignore others. It happens to me, it happens to others, and it happens more than some people want to admit. It's even more ironic that the person who reached out to me is one of the biggest offenders. I can’t tell people how to think, but if this is your mentality, you may want to re-examine your values. I will engage with anyone here, whether I agree with them or not. If someone disagrees with me, I’ll either re-examine my own point of view or I’ll respond respectfully. That is how discussion is supposed to work. As the saying goes, you like what you like. In my world, I’m always searching for the very best, whether that means the best clone, the best niche, or the best designer. That’s how I enjoy this hobby. Differences of opinion are not a problem for me. They are welcomed, respected, and worth exploring. A lot of times, hearing a different perspective has taught me something valuable or even changed my direction. I would much rather someone challenge my fragrance selections or disagree with me in a real way that helps me grow my collection! rather than just being a yes man. If you give me input, or I give you input, and it goes against either one of our opinions—whether it is about quality, value, or fragrance selection—it is welcomed. My response is not going to be hurt feelings. My response is going to be: " Why do you feel that way? You are not going to hurt my feelings. Either the conversation helps me grow my fragrance knowledge, or I stay the course because it is simply something I want to do. Either way, it is not going to make me lose sleep, and it is definitely not going to make me lose interest in the group.

I have been busy with Expo season and in between flights am logged in to the Brother Hood. I am very happy to be a part of the organization and have learned plenty from too many of you to list. My take is this a good place to learn and I am open to receiving any knowledge you brothers and sisters may enlighten us with. Cheers and have a good rest of your Sunday.

This is a recent acquisition for me. Launched in 1992, it’s a timeless woody aromatic cologne with an old school masculine vibe. It opens with bergamot, lemon, lavender, and green notes for a crisp slightly herbal lift. The heart brings in spicy warmth from cinnamon and tarragon, blended with subtle florals, before settling into a refined base of oakmoss, sandalwood, cedar, and patchouli. The overall feel is smooth, balanced, and gentlemanly. It’s fresh and green upfront, then evolving into something warmer and more substantial. It's very masculine with a nostalgic charm. Performance is solid for an EDT, as I’m getting 4-5 hours. It has moderate projection and good longevity on skin. The bottle presentation enhances the classic appeal. It’s a heavy cut glass design that reminds me of a vintage flask or whisky decanter. At its current price point, it's a steal for anyone who appreciates 90s powerhouse fragrances or wants a versatile, compliment getting signature scent for day or office wear. Highly recommended if you like classics like vintage Polo or similar refined aromatics.

@Jeff Beason Thanks for the trip down memory lane. This one was a signature scent for me circa 1995-2002. Stopped using it and replaced with other colognes. Haven't worn it in since so might reacquire just to experience it again.

Knowing how clumsy I can be: End up breaking the bottle or cutting myself accidentally and needing to visit an emergency room!
