Happy Saturday Frag Fam. I am over the moon that Chicago is finally starting to warm up. Even though it’s cloudy and a little gloomy, we are in the 60s so I’m going to run a few errands and enjoy the fresh air. I received a nice sized decant from Nick Clemente of my scent of the day and it has me in a chokehold. I am officially on the hunt for a full bottle at a decent price. Today’s scent is Montabaco Intensivo by Ormonde Jayne. I only have a couple of decants from this house, but this one would be a great addition to the collection for spring and summer. It opens beautifully fresh, green, woody, and aromatic. It is not a huge room filler but it has very nice sillage. I am about three hours in and it is giving me a comfortable scent bubble. We will see how the rest of the day goes, but right now it is definitely full bottle worthy, even if it might require a light reapplication later on. Reunited! Fresh out of the mailbox 📬 is the well know Cedrat Boise. I've only owned a decant of this after all of these years. I've even purchased a bottle as a gift for my old boss. I had to finally snatch this up for myself. This is the scent I was wearing when i received my biggest unsolicited compliment from a stranger and that moment has stuck with me. This classic has citruses black currant and spices in the opening..fruity notes, patchouli leaf and water jasmine in the mid...cedar, leather, sandalwood,vanilla white musk and Moss in the base. Known as a competitor to Creed's Aventus but I do not find them similar or redundant. Owning both is a great idea. Not known as a leather fragrance but I get the leather in here and it's as close as I'll get to enjoying a leather fragrance (I'm not a fan of leather fragrances). If you've never smelled this try it please and if you have share your opinion.
