Noticed something interesting with Xerjoff 40 Knots today that made me wonder how variable this one is across skin types. Instead of the usual salty, marine profile it’s known for, it developed in a completely different direction. It opened woody with a slight spicy lift, and as it settled the whole thing went noticeably powdery. Smooth, clean, and well-blended, just not aquatic at any point. I even got a brief aromatic/powdery echo that reminded me of Versace Blue Jeans. Is that weird? Not in notes, just in the structure of that clean, bright, slightly powdery phase once the marine aspects dropped out. Curious whether anyone else has seen 40 Knots lean woody, spicy, or powdery on their skin instead of pushing the marine side. Variability seems bigger here than expected. I guess the good news is, it will fit nicely into my fall rotation.
