Haymaker-the fresh finish
I am now at the last of my samples and it is honestly a bit of a let down. This journey has been fun, educational and it stretched me into a new discovery zone. When I first smelled Haymaker off the atomizer tip, it hit me with this clean, soapy cedar that honestly smelled amazing. It was the kind of cedar that makes you want to spray immediately, sharp, fresh, and almost sparkling. But once it hit skin, that cedar and soap combo stepped way back and the top turned into a bright citrus and ginger bomb with almost a little menthol-type edge to it. For the first 30 minutes it felt like the opening was determined to stick around forever. Eventually the ginger citrus eases up and lets the geranium peek through, and that’s where things start to settle into something really solid. A sweet amber starts to come in behind it, and that earlier soapy note creeps back in, cleaner, smoother, and honestly stellar at this point. This is easily the freshest of any sample I’ve tried from HappyLand. If E. J. Wells hadn’t made a freshie yet and decided to pour all of that fresh energy into one fragrance, it would smell like this. About an hour in, the citrus steps into a supporting role and the cedar returns, rounded out by the amber that softens everything without making it heavy. Even with the warmth coming in, Haymaker stays incredibly fresh from the opening all the way into the dry down. Even a woody-amber base does not discourage it. So this one, my brothers, was an ultimate pay off! With moderate projection for 3-4 hours, it will last on your skin throughout the rest of the day. For an evening out, one or two sprays to freshen it back up again and you are good to go.

Trying to see what I like any recommendations?
Some b-day sample action 🎉🎁
It’s been a while since I got my hands on some samples in this form, especially since decants came into the picture. Nevertheless I’m excited about the spicebomb and replica particularly. Enjoy the night frag fam.

Look What I Scored!
You guys, I am super excited ! I managed to grab a few luxury decants recently, for a great price: I paid only about $10.00 each! Honestly, for 10ml. 🤯 I'm dying to dive into these samples and see which ones are the real full-bottle contenders. Wish me luck! What's on the testing tray: • Roja Parfums - Oceania: Everyone says this is the ultimate luxe aquatic citrus—like a high-end spa day on the ocean. • Nishane - Wulong Cha: This is the one I hear about constantly. A citrusy, soothing, and sophisticated oolong tea scent. • Widian - New York: I'm expecting something complex and bold here. Thinking deep woods, spices, and that cool, urban atmosphere. @Paul Bartnicki keeps praising it. I look forward to finally trying it out.. • Royal Crown - Rain: I don’t know much about this one so I don’t know what to expect. Fingers crossed that I’m not disappointed. Have you smelled any of these before? Which one should be my very first spray? Let me know what you think.

Jomashop Holiday Sale is a disappointment
I just got the email from Jomashop about their holiday sale - $10 off of orders over $180. That's barely 5% discount. Checking the prices, the sale price is what they offer all year round. Some examples: Fragrance World Liquid Brun 100mL: $45.99 - $10 coupon = $35.99, which is what I paid for it a few months ago. Armani Stronger With You Intensely 100mL: $118.99 - 20% sale coupon = 94.95, which is what I've been seeing it selling for on their website for the past year. Aura, when it's in stock, is $89.95, as a reference point for comparison. Xerjoff Naxos 100mL: $231.56 - 20% sale coupon = 185.25, which is what it usually goes for. The tester with a cap, on the same site, is selling for $154.99. It's regularly in the $175 - $190 range the rest of the year. FragranceNet has it for $192 year-round, and they are rarely the cheapest discounter. Hugo Boss Bottled Absolu 100mL: $158 - 24% sale price = $119.89. I usually see it for around the $75 - $90 range when in stock. I got mine last year for $56. Dozens more, it's the same thing. I use a price tracking app to watch these things, and it's eye-opening to see how misleading these sale prices can be. Some of them only amount to $5 or $10 off the regular price, but they manipulate the sale discounts to make it look like you are getting a better deal. Be careful shopping out there, guys. Don't let the FOMO or the rush of the season push you into buying something with a "deal" price that isn't really a deal. Take the time to check around and make sure you're actually getting a good price. These prices will come back around, and it's worth it to be patient. Make sure you are getting a good deal before you pull that trigger on your wallet.

@Stephen DeMent I agree with you their coupon game sucks. I stop going to their site. But maybe I need to take another look.
