#sotd... Day 2 of 9 reviews of Game of Spades... Today is Game Of Spades King by Jo Milano. This fragrance opens with some Citrus at the beginning. The combination of the citrus that is used in this, to me, is a little off putting. I personally am not a fan. Maybe it is the way it is mixed? I like Orange, Bergamont, and Lemon notes but there is just something about the opening on this that I am not a fan of. With that being said, about 2 hours in, this fragrance changes and I started getting some sweet florals coming through. While there are no floral notes listed in this fragrance, I do know that you can get some floral scents from the fruits note. I believe it is what saved this fragrance for me. Mixing with the light floral is the Vanilla. Making this scent much more appealing to me. This ends on a smooth sweet note. While I am not a fan of the opening, I do enjoy the dry down. I went 8 hours before it became more of a skin scent. Very good projection. I am giving this a 7.5 out of 10. Would be higher if I liked the opening.

While the accords seem to vie for dominance, the rose absolute appears to prevail. The ambergris adds significant depth and complexity. This superb fragrance's strength is also its weakness. Its distinctiveness and potential for overuse make it challenging to find suitable occasions to wear it. I'm eager to hear feedback on how, where, and the reactions to this fragrance as it lingers in the air. Scent: 8.5/10 Sillage: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 My overall scent score is not a 9 due to its loudness and difficulty in managing, which makes it hard to find the right occasion for it. This has nothing to do with ingredient quality.
