My little collection...
...is almost all grown up now. In fact, I've outgrown my display shelves, so I'm moving some to the bathroom (yeah yeah I know it's not good for the frags, but this bathroom is super well ventilated, it gets zero sunlight, and I'm only putting in my most worn frags that I'll burn through before they go bad): - One shelf for year-round daily grab 'n go dumb reaches (year round, I find myself reaching for Dior Homme 2020, Prada Luna Rossa Ocean EDT, and Armaf Mandarin Sky Elixir) - One shelf for seasonal daily grab 'n go dumb reaches (in cool weather, I find myself reaching for Boss Bottled Absolu, Lalique Ombre Noir, and TF Eau d'Ombre Leather) - One shelf for decants I'm testing and travel sprays I use most often when traveling I think I need a few more frags for the following categories: - one more warm spicy (I think I'd sell/trade Incense 01 to make room): top candidates are Blonde Amber or Sauvage Elixir, or maybe the new Micallef Nototious XO which I’ve been testing dnd is just delicious - one dumb reach sweet vanilla (I'd squeeze BB Absolu onto the display shelves and put the new one on my seasonal shelf): top candidates are MB Club Black; Superz Memories Gold; Boss Collection Exhilarating Vanilla (I got my nose on it in London this week and it seemed really good -- I need to see if I can find a decant); or maybe SWYI or TMWP - one more 3-season easy wear (I'd squeeze it onto the display shelves): this one is tough, thinking Superz Morocco or Smesh; Initio Rehab; Boss Bottled Beyond; or maybe Boss Collection Elegant Vetiver - I got my nose on this in London this week and if I can find a decant, I definitely want to give it a wear My collection is 3-season and cool weather heavy (I mean, here in the PNW we don't really get much summer) and any future purchases beyond the three I mentioned above would probably be warm/hot weather choices. But... I don't really *need* any more warm weather fragrances, and aside from the bottle categories I mentioned above, I think I might be done buying full bottles. With my crazy process of buying and battling decants, I can honestly say I absolutely love every single bottle I own, and there are literally hundreds of other frags that I've worn and found not to be as good for me as the ones I ended up buying.

SOTD - Amouage Boundless (2 of 3)
Good morning, Brotherhood! First of all, Amouage is a completely new house for me, and I appreciate you taking the time to hear my thoughts as I explore it for the first time. So far I am really liking the quality and uniqueness of the house. Today I’m on sample 2 of 3 from my Amouage decants, and the spotlight is on Boundless. This fragrance was launched in 2021 and created by perfumer Karine Vinchon-Spehner. On first spray, I’m greeted with a burst of bright citrus, blood orange to be exact. Right away it gives off a fresh, crushed minty, ginger vibe, layered with a touch of cardamom. The opening is absolutely beautiful and hooked me immediately. As it moves into the heart, I start to pick up a hint of ashy, cigarette style tobacco. Not rich or sweet like many tobaccos, but more dry and airy to my nose. Alongside that comes incense and subtle resinous notes, adding depth without weighing it down. Further into the dry down, woody notes begin to shine through, mostly cedar and vetiver, which to my nose the cedar comes across slightly like dill at times blended with a mossy undertone that I absolutely love! The overall impression leans dry, with the resin keeping it just damp enough to balance things out. I even found myself re-spraying a couple of times just to chase down all the nuances. Performance wise, Boundless feels designed to stay subtle. Projection and sillage are good but not powerful, but it feels intentional. It’s not a beast mode fragrance, and that’s actually part of its charm. This makes it very wearable in professional settings or formal occasions where you want to smell refined and noticeable, but not steal the spotlight. Overall, Boundless is a dry, classy, and well-composed fragrance. It’s not loud, but it carries itself with quiet confidence. I would buy a bottle of this if I had an endless supply of cash... LOL. I would be completely happy with a clone of this simply for the way the cedar is presented. What are your experiences with Boundless?

Calling All DE / Safety Razor Shavers
Hi. I'm about to embark on my DE shaving journey and one of the (many) things I'm wondering about is how scented the various products are, and how they might clash with the fragrances (EdT/EdP) that I already wear. I can't help but think I don't want to be splashing my face with aftershave. I don't think I have particularly sensitive skin, or a tough beard, and razor burn isn't something I suffer from with my Mach3. So can I go without? Use a balm or something else instead? If you have any recommendations for un or lightly scented products available in the UK, then please let me know.
