Mail Call from Third Eye
Thanks to @Will Southard of Third Eye Fragrance Co for a super fast delivery! One for me and one for my wife! Fun and excellent presentation also. And thanks for the sample of RR Reserve. Initial spray on paper is amazing and it'll go on skin tomorrow evening!

SOTD: DAY THREE FRAGRANCES -BANI
Today’s scent is Bani from Day Three Fragrances. This is one of those fragrances that doesn’t try to overwhelm you. Instead, it pulls you in with a smooth tropical character that feels natural and well put together. To my nose, the fruit comes across fresh rather than syrupy, with just enough creamy sweetness to keep it interesting. As it dries down, everything blends together beautifully, becoming soft, airy, and incredibly easy to wear. The quality of the materials is what really stands out. Nothing feels harsh or overly synthetic, and the transitions from the opening into the drydown are smooth. It has that polished niche quality I’ve come to expect from Michael Paul and Day Three. Performance: Bani gives me solid projection and a noticeable scent trail for the first couple of hours before settling into a comfortable scent bubble. It never becomes overpowering, but it stays present and continues to push off the skin. Longevity is around 7 to 8 hours on me, with the final stages wearing closer to the skin. This is a fragrance that shines in spring and summer, but I could also see it working on warmer fall days. Casual wear, vacations, weekend outings, or even the office—it is versatile enough to fit just about anywhere. Fragrance Rating: 9.3/10 Performance Rating: 8.5/10 Bani is another reminder that Day Three continues to punch well above its price point. It is original, refined, and wears with an effortless confidence that doesn’t need to shout. If you are looking for a tropical fragrance that feels sophisticated instead of loud or overly sweet, Bani deserves a spot on your radar.

SOTD: DAY THREE FRAGRANCES -BANI
SOTE - It's 115 degrees here so I had no choice...
I'm in the CA desert in the dead of summer. It's hot. HOT!! That being said, if I sprayed one more citrusy or freshie frag, I'm going to turn into a bergamot! I needed a serious change of pace. After much thought, it seemed that Roja Aoud was the logical choice. That's right! ROJA AOUD! I mean what the heck... And besides, I really have a thing for "rose/oud" these days. It's one of the great combinations in fragrance history. Not to mention, it's nice and cool in my house and my car is air conditioned. If you've never got you nose of Roja Aoud and you're into rose/oud, this stuff is a must try. That's presuming you're good with a very refined oud note. The opening is magnificent. It's polished with a nice little citrus sparkle that quickly gives way to one of the great rose notes in the business. The rose is not sweet, instead, it remains elegant and a bit dry, perfectly complimenting the oud. The oud itself is smooth, clean and woody, which is contrary to what I usually prefer, it's not animalic, or smoky. As it dries down, the fragrance somehow becomes richer and more enveloping. The sandalwood, patchouli, and ambergris are exceptionally smooth. The transition is gradual and everything is integrated into a composition that feels effortless despite its complexity. The performance is excellent. What a great fragrance. It's absolutely in the top 95th percentile of my collection. For what it is (rose/oud), it's a: 9.75/10.0 and that's plus or minus .25%
