My reasons for starting pt
When I started pt with Ethan I had hit a brick wall exersize wise. I had taken part in the 3 peaks challenge last September (3 mountains in 24 hours) to raise money for sunflowers suicide bereavement support. It was to mark the 10 year anniversary of losing my sister to suicide.we smashed it and raised over £3000 for the charity. However after this I went backwards in my fitness and didn’t do any exersize at all. So decided to join the gym in February. This is when I met Ethan and he helped me on my way to my goal of loosing the weight I had put on. I am so happy with the results so far. So thank you Ethan I feel so much better mentally and physically. You are a ⭐️

Healthy Protein rich Lasagne recipe
I've attached a recipe that I thought you might like to try - it's got 30g protein per portion and is absolutely delicious! It's dead easy, I cook everything in a large frying pan, using pre chopped onions, frozen spinach (which i buy fresh, freeze as is, then crush the frozen spinach in the bag to use as 'chopped' straight from frozen) and pre-grated cheese (life is too short to hand grate mozzarella). I have a constant stock of this 'ready meal' in my freezer, I like it so much! For the cups....1 x 300g pot of cottage cheese is a 'cup', so just use the empty pot for the spinach & mozzarella (just don'tquite fill the mozzarellato the top of the pot) '1/2 cup' pine nuts is a 100g bag (you could get 2 60g bags from Lidl, that would be fine and it's still cheaper than 1 bag of 100 from anywhere else) and likewise with the grated parmesan, it's around 100g, so a small pack of ready grated is about right. With regards to getting wholemeal lasagna sheets, not that places do them but Sainsbury's, I use whatever I can find and don't use 8 sheets, just 6, so don't panic if you find you don't use as many. Anyhow, that's my tips, hope you enjoy!

Lovely to meet you on Monday Maria well done for your achievements since November you are doing amazingly well. Thanks for the fab lasagne tips! 😊
Bp in better shape
January time my BP was fluctuating around the 170/98. I was put on ramipril. I've always had low bp so was quite a shock and a bit of a wake up call. My dad and uncle both died in their 60s of cardiovascular related problems.. I joined Everlast and started pottering around at the gym, trying to eat better although wasn't counting. Randomly asked Ethan for some help with some equipment one day and realised I could probably do with some additional support so signed up with him very, very recently. My BP today is down to 122/76, my pulse around 74. This means a lot to me because I was devastated when my dad passed away suddenly and would hate to do that to my kids. The more I learn and try the better I feel about walking into the gym. January i was a bag of nerves. I'm hoping to reduce my bp a little more but mostly focusing on the weight loss to improve my overall wellbeing. I'm so pleased that even though it took me four months to speak to anyone at the gym at least it was Ethan who has already been amazingly supportive of my goals 😊

Well done Louisa that’s a really good achievement! Your children will thank you one day what a sad but lovely reason for doing this sorry to hear about your dad and uncle. You’ve got this! I found Ethan by chance too and he has really helped me so far. Even if it’s been torture at times on a Monday morning after a wedding 🍺😂
One Chip at a Time
Today marks a big milestone: I’m officially 52% of the way through my journey to lose 6 stone - that’s 3 stone and 2 lbs down since January. It hasn’t always been smooth. Just three weeks ago I hit a rough patch and seriously considered quitting. But instead of spiralling, I stuck to the system. I didn’t gain. I kept going. And that quiet persistence is what I’m most proud of. What’s worked? Chipping away daily. Tracking progress. Trusting the process. When I look back at photos and charts, I can see how far I’ve come - even if day-to-day it sometimes felt like nothing was changing. This time around feels different. I’m not “dieting” - I’m learning how to live differently. I still enjoy good food, even on holidays and special occasions. It’s just about making better, more mindful choices. I’ve even discovered a love of swimming, and I’ve set my sights on my first marathon in June - something I’d never have thought possible at 20+ stone! I’m doing this for myself, for my family, and for my future self. At the start, I wrote a letter to @Ethan Harris that outlined my “why.” That letter still drives me today as I head into the second half of this journey. Weekly check-in sessions are helping too, as is learning from others on a similar path. I’ve not been perfect - I know I need more gym work alongside the cardio - but this feels realistic to maintain. It’s starting to feel like my new normal. Thanks to everyone here for the encouragement and private messages. Onwards and upwards... three more stone to go!
