Portable Food Heater Solution
Just throwing this here because a few people have asked me how to work around, working away on sites or in vans. Or their work doesn't offer kitchen appliances to heat up your food. I would recommend this heat it up once you've cooked it. (Contains a plug + car plug for vehicles too) https://amzn.to/4fvBxxX

Saw this and it made me chuckle... Happy Friday, everyone!

Skinny sausages
An all time family favourite in our house is bangers and mash but sausages have quite high calories and fat. Came across these and tried them this evening. 75g calories per sausages, 1.4g fat and 10.9 protein. And they are actually really, really nice. I got them from Ocado but Tesco do them too. I just get the usual sausages for the kids and these for me so save on costs.

Protein Powders - very good price!
Just got out of Lidl- they do a good range of protein powder (Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, possibly Blueberry also) for £9.99. I've been looking for vanilla for some weeks now so glad to find it. It feels a bit smaller than your standard Tesco, etc, stocked ones but personally I'm happier with that as I didn't particularly want massive pouches of a set flavour if I didn't end up liking it much. They also do 'angel delight' style high protein pudding mixes you make up with boiling water, not too high in cals but I'll report back on taste, etc when I've tried them out. Have a good week everyone!
Summer Salad....High Protein
Got a new sunshine High protein meal for you.... Spanish Potato Salad Makes 4 (generous) portions, 335 cals per portion, carbs 33.5g, fat 9.9g, Protein 26g Ingredients: New Potatoes - large tin or 450g small new potatoes, boiled, skin on 2 large eggs, hard boiled Small tin of petit pois with carrots (or my version, using frozen special mixed veg, about 350g, boiled or just soaked in kettle boiled water for 5 - 10 mins until soft) 2 x cans of tuna in brine, drained 4- 5 tablespoons of lighter than light mayonnaise ( I use Batts, from Lidl) 4 x spring onions, sliced Dash of lemon juice Salt & pepper to taste Optional ingredients- 75g olives, frozen special mixed veg, chopped cucumber, 12 x cherry tomatoes, halved - the calorie count pp includes all of these items) Method: not much to it really, boil potatoes and eggs, drain and cool. In a large bowl, slice the cooled potatoes into 1/4cm slices( or if you have one, use an egg slicer) eggs the same, add all other ingredients and tuna, chuck in mayonnaise, lemon juice (about a tablespoon is enough for a touch of tang, otherwise as much or little as you want), salt & pepper to taste, then combine. If you fancy it, you can sprinkle fresh chopped chives and /or parsley over the top for a flourish! Alternatively, substitute the ultra light mayonnaise for a Vinegarette dressing - I've used the fat free French dressing from Tesco before now, just a slightly different feel to it but just as tasty. This is so simple a supper to throw together, taking little or no time if you use all tins and is actually really cheap, given how much you get once you put everything together. It's really filling and as you can see, gives you a healthy portion of carbs and protein. Enjoy!
