Iron or Steamer?
Quick question for the group. Do you use a regular iron for your clothes or do you use a steamer? I've used a steamer in the past but was never thrilled with the lines I got out of it. If you have a recommendation for your favorites I'd love to see them.

@John C Thank you. I never thought about putting oils in a steamer. What does the witch hazel do? Also, the oils from the scents don't damage the fabric? This is the first time I've heard of this so sorry for the ignorance lol, but I like the idea.

Do You Wear a Watch? If Not, What’s Your Alternative?
Let’s talk timepieces — or the lack of them. Some guys swear by a good watch. From rugged field watches and tool chronographs to sleek dress pieces and vintage heirlooms — it’s a timeless (pun intended) part of men’s style. But let’s be honest — not everyone wears watches. Some find them uncomfortable. Others prefer to keep their wrists bare or feel like they don’t match their aesthetic. So here’s what I want to know: - What type of watch do you wear, and why? (Digital? Mechanical? Smartwatch? Minimalist? Bold statement?) - If you don’t wear a watch, what’s your reason? Is it comfort, style, practicality, or just preference? - Do you have a go-to alternative accessory?(Examples: Leather bracelet, beaded wristwear, signet rings, smart rings, neck chains, pocket watches, etc.) - Is the watch still relevant, or has it become optional in modern men’s style?

I wear an Apple Watch for the health tracking benefits. However, I just got a RingConn so that I can swap out my generic looking apple watch for something more stylish and still have all my vitals monitored.

Proud Father
It is a wonderful feeling to see your children succeed in their ambitions. I have written before about my eldest boy entering a welding program in the fall. I am very proud and happy he has found something he is passionate about. Yesterday, my youngest, only 16, completed his first solo flight. He has been taking lessons for over a year now and has over 45 hours in the air. Yesterday, I watched him take off and land twice, solo, in a narrow, short field runway (42b). To put into perspective, he is currently taking drivers Ed and has been behind the wheel of a car about 5 times. Yesterday, his shirt was cut off (a long standing tradition when a pilot completes their first solo) and I couldn’t be more proud He sits for his FAA written exam in about 2 weeks.

That's amazing! Flying and landing a plane before he has his drivers license. That's fantastic!
Am I the Only One Who Hates Shorts (If Not Swimming)?
Is it just me, or do some of us have a lifelong aversion to wearing shorts? I’ve never liked them—unless I’m in the water. I think I picked it up from my father, who I don’t think I ever saw in a pair. For me, shorts just feel… off. Uncomfortable. Like I’m dressed for the wrong occasion, even when it’s blazing outside. Anyone else in the long-pants-all-summer club? Or am I alone in this heatwave rebellion?

I like shorts but I've always defaulted to standard pants. I feel like when you wear shorts your shoes are even more important and your sock selection has to be really taken into account as well. I have a couple of socks that you can't see and I have a real love/hate relationship with them. I like that they look better, but I hate that the they almost always come off my heel. It bugs me to no end lol.
