Ascot or Tie
Alright fellas, help me settle this. The tie is the classic — sharp, safe, every guy’s go-to. But the ascot… that’s a whole different vibe. Smooth, bold, a little rebellious. If you had to pick one for a big night out — date, wedding, or just flexing some style — are you rocking the ascot for flair, or keeping it clean with the tie? Let’s hear it.
If you could only wear one outfit (style, not exact pieces) for a year, what would it be and why?
Good evening everyone, apologies for the lack of posting been busy with school. I have a question for you all that even I have been pondering recently. If I could wear one thing for a whole year, what would it be? This is more than a “favorite fit” question—it’s about your uniform. Imagine every day for the next 12 months, you step out in the exact same outfit. No swaps, no variations, no “cheat days.” This is the look people will associate with you, recognize you for, and maybe even nickname you by. Would you go for timeless tailoring, rugged workwear, athleisure comfort, streetwear energy, or something totally unexpected? I want to know: - What’s the outfit? (Head to toe details—don’t skip the watch, shoes, or even socks.) - What does it say about you? - Why does it earn the right to be your “forever fit” for a year? And bonus points if you can share a picture of a fit that comes close to your pick.
What’s your secret weapon in grooming that every man should know—but no one talks about?
Let’s go deeper than beard oil and bar soap. What’s that one product, ritual, or trick in your grooming routine that transformed your look—or the way you carry yourself? Could be a specific toner, a scalp massage technique, a cold rinse, a type of brush, or a weird-but-effective exfoliation method. The kind of thing you only find out from trial and error, or if you’re lucky, passed down by someone who really cared. I love these dialogues
Is style more about confidence or taste?
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately… Is great style mostly about taste — knowing what looks good, mastering color, fit, and silhouettes? Or is it more about confidence — how you wear it, how you move, how you carry yourself, even if the outfit is simple? We’ve all seen guys pull off wild fits just because they’re confident… and others wear “technically perfect” looks that somehow feel hollow. So I’m asking the panel: - Where do you fall on this? Confidence or taste? - Can one exist without the other? - Have you ever worn something “objectively stylish” but it didn’t feel like you?

@Alex Kilpatrick now this naturally leads to two follow up questions 1. Where do each of six points show themselves when it comes to style 2. How can others spot the inaccuracies and inauthenticity that may show up in one or more of these categories

@Jean Jerome yes it has become subversive. However groups like this help it push past its subversive label into something more acceptable and hopefully admirable. One of the things that struck me is that in media for example music most people don’t associate those successful in those industries to be well dressed people anymore. Not in the way they used to. Even artists who were out there dressers like Bowie or Prince for example when they wanted and needed to be well dressed they did not hesitate. Now it seems like most consider it an afterthought. I will say shows like peaky blinders and other shows that have presented well dressed men have done a service by allowing men to see what they could be when it comes to dress
Do You Wear a Watch? If Not, What’s Your Alternative?
Let’s talk timepieces — or the lack of them. Some guys swear by a good watch. From rugged field watches and tool chronographs to sleek dress pieces and vintage heirlooms — it’s a timeless (pun intended) part of men’s style. But let’s be honest — not everyone wears watches. Some find them uncomfortable. Others prefer to keep their wrists bare or feel like they don’t match their aesthetic. So here’s what I want to know: - What type of watch do you wear, and why? (Digital? Mechanical? Smartwatch? Minimalist? Bold statement?) - If you don’t wear a watch, what’s your reason? Is it comfort, style, practicality, or just preference? - Do you have a go-to alternative accessory?(Examples: Leather bracelet, beaded wristwear, signet rings, smart rings, neck chains, pocket watches, etc.) - Is the watch still relevant, or has it become optional in modern men’s style?
