Don’t miss twice
Yesterday, I missed my workout. I promised to get it in today. I had a long day at work and did not think I had it in me. I live by “you can’t miss twice”. I told myself, just get started, just get started. I got home and changed immediately into my workout clothes and got in my workout. It felt great once I got going and so glad I did. Kept my promise to myself. I even got some new PRs! If any of you guys are not up for a workout, just get started. You won’t regret it! You can do it!

Injury doesn’t mean giving up!
Ten days ago I injured my knee and had no choice but to stay still for the first five days, with limited mobility after that. I can’t get out for my daily, head-clearing walk. I can’t do my workouts and bask in the post-gym glow. I spent days 5 and 6 eating my emotions. BUT…. My wonderful coach, @Tyler Lo has spent ALOT of time asking me a million questions about my mobility and doing a deep dive into what I can and can’t do. I’ve now got three completely new workouts to follow that I can 100% do without compromising my recovery, and without having to go to the gym. (I’m pretty much house-bound at the moment!) SO….. My own personal lesson I’m taking from this is that injury does not mean giving up, it’s about adjusting my understanding of how to stay healthy and taking care of my body. It’s not about needing a perfectly working body in order to achieve greatness. It’s not about having some fancy gym membership. It’s about making the most of the mobility you are lucky enough to have. It’s about sticking with the program through thick and thin. It’s about making the choice to keep showing up in any way that you can. And, for me, the most important thing is having a great Coach who is always ready to fight my corner and having this amazing community to keep me smiling 😊

@Kelly Langford such a great mindset to have and honestly you made it easy, you came in ready to adapt, no complaints, just "what can I do?" That attitude is exactly why you're going to come out of this stronger. Speedy recovery 🙌
Maple syrup 🍁
It’s maple syrup season here in Canada 🇨🇦 My husband decided to tap our 2 trees we have in the front yard and we started boiling it today. That means picking up a lot of branches and collecting wood 🪵. I want to get a whole lot of steps in lol. It’s going to be great.

Oh how I miss fresh maple syrup! 🍁 It's a process to make but the result is definitely worth it.
Disney Day 3
Magic Kingdom today! It's going to be one of those high calorie days that just sometimes happen because vacation. When you prepay for a fireworks show dessert party and they put a literal buffet of pastries and a create your own sundae bar in front of you, you take a bite of everything and you enjoy it. The good thing is, I won't beat myself up over it. Tomorrow morning I will "next meal normal" the hell out of breakfast and move on with my life. Less steps today than yesterday but the night isn't over yet. Had another great night of sleep last night which is amazing. Feeling very grateful to have a healthy body so that I can experience all of this to the fullest. My phone is dying so this will be the first live I will miss😭 Have a great night/day everyone🖤

Sounds like a fun family day! Even with the buffet of treats, you still got some solid protein and fiber in during the day. The fact that you're already thinking 'next meal normal' instead of spiraling is everything. That mindset is what makes this sustainable long term. Enjoy Disney, enjoy the family, enjoy every bite 🙌
