Monday Check in

Rainy day here so working in the office on the mountain of paperwork, billing and estimates that have been quite neglected with the intensity of the war season. This software integration we will begin to work on here shortly I think will help with it all. How I'm doing it now was for a different version of me and my company, and is not optimal nor efficient.

Enjoyed seeing everyone on the call and appreciate the few minutes to rant on the employee stuff. It's so damn challenging to create and keep a team. And this who mess with this recent employee has gotten to me. It really sucks when you are out to do the right thing by someone and create opportunity only to have them burn you. I know everything happens for a reason, but sitting here reflecting on it all just has me a little bummed out by it all. Not only was he really challenging to the harmony of my company (and myself) but the outright disrespect he showed towards Diana and myself was awful. A high chair tyrant for sure. And to lose a long time client now over it stings a bit. However, I know I don't need clients like this. To have produced a young man that carries himself in this manner, without respect and any sort of honor does not align with my personal values. It's all sorts of just plain messed up.

And I'm feeling very tired. No doubt the heavy burden of so many months of straight effort and no real down time. This has consistently been a war season unlike any other and I'm very much looking forward to this winter's break.
