Thoughts and Frameworks for May Sovereign Challenge
As we wrap up Magician month, take some time to reflect on what you did accomplish (and give yourself some love) but also what stopped you from hitting your goals. It will be an old story and one you will continue to live and repeat until you claim it. Success leaves clues and so does defeat. Sovereign follows Magician as the 'Going to War and Going Public' phase follows the 'Desert and Garden' phase of the Hero's Journey. That vision is what activates innovation and adaptability and powers evolution in all other aspects of our life such as fitness, relationships, career and lifestyle. The Sovereign version of creativity can feel as chaotic as a leap of faith which can be stressful and threatening to our needs for control, safety and results. The Sovereign relies on the other Archetypes within us and in others for those functions. Our inner Sovereign is also the source of expressing that future to others to inspire and enroll them in it. Our Sovereign cannot function alone. We are built to inspire others and be inspired by them. At our best, our Sovereign is hopeful, optimistic, assertive, passionate and connected to others. At our worst, it can be distracted by the next new and shiny thing and become needy for attention and praise. Claiming our inner Sovereign is going public with our vision or expression and includes all the vulnerability, judgment and disappointment that spotlight entails. Our Sovereign is connected to our ego and identity which is always a gift and a curse to be explored and managed.
