Cashmere and Invicata
Talk about a 1-2 combo. This bold Invicta Reserve chronograph makes a striking statement with its massive gold-tone case, intricate silver dial is perfectly complemented by the rich brown leather strap that adds a touch of classic sophistication. Paired with the soft beige cashmere mock turtleneck, the outfit achieves an effortlessly luxurious vibe — the sweater’s plush, cozy texture and neutral tone provide a refined, understated backdrop that lets the watch’s flashy presence truly shine. Together, they create a winning combination of confident boldness and comfortable elegance that’s ideal for elevating casual winter looks.

@Brett Sutton Thanks, brother!
200 Pounds!
Forgot to share this with you all (the end of last week turned into an auto repair cluster...) On Tuesday January 6th I hit a major milestone. I've now lost 200 pounds since August 23rd 2024.

@Joe MacAfee Good on you brother. I've recently lost just around 100 and have another 40 to go, so in a sense, I get it. What your doing is no easy task so when I say I am proud of your accomplishments you know where I'm coming from. I'm sure you're feeling better (physically, mentally, emotionally). Keep going strong and remember, it's a process.

Great, simple everyday watch šŸ„¾šŸš¶ā€āž”ļø P.S. I don’t personally own most of the watches I share. Since I work in a multi-brand store, I get to see a lot of great pieces up close and I want to share them with you guys! P.S.S. Also, I’m not trying to sell anything in case anyone’s wondering. I’m just sharing my passion for watches, and since I’m surrounded by so many of them at work, I take advantage of it and bring them into this community šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼

@Daniel Valdivia Nice choices. We all must envy you...being able to try on so many wonderful timepieces. Looking forward to you sharing future gems.
WOTD - Flexibility
Initially, I found this watch critical for health data while I was in recovery. Now, I'll switch between watch faces. Feedback when I need it, and more casual when I don't. I'm looking forward to finding more ways to switch things up!

@Trevor Thompson On a side note. Many of the watches I wear (Invicta's) are rather large. Therefore, when I have my dress shirts made, my left sleave/wrist portion (I wear my watch on the left hand) is cut slightly larger to accommodate the extra size of my watch. This begs the question, should one wear a "tech" watch with formal attire, or at least a suit and tie? From a classic sense, the answer is no! The convention of not wearing a tech watch with formal attire, like a suit and tie, stems from a combination of tradition, aesthetics, and the intended purpose of the watch itself. Here’s a breakdown of the reasoning from a traditional style perspective. 1. Clash of Aesthetics and Design The core issue is a mismatch in design language. - Formal Attire: A suit is built on principles of timeless elegance, clean lines, and classic materials (wool, silk, leather, polished metal). It aims for a look that is sophisticated, understated, and cohesive. - Tech Watches: These are designed with a focus on modern functionality and technology. They often feature bright digital screens, rubber or silicone bands, and a bulkier, more utilitarian or sporty case. Their aesthetic is rooted in efficiency and connectivity, not classic elegance. Wearing a tech watch with a suit is often compared to wearing running shoes with a tuxedo. The two pieces come from different worlds and their aesthetics clash, disrupting the intended formality and polish of the outfit. 2. Tradition and Purpose The classic dress watch was designed with a specific purpose that aligns perfectly with formal wear. - The Dress Watch: Traditionally, a man's watch was one of his few acceptable pieces of jewelry. A proper dress watch is slim (to slide easily under a shirt cuff), has a simple, uncluttered face (often just hour and minute hands), and is made of precious or polished metals with a leather strap. Its sole purpose is to tell time discreetly. - The Tech Watch: A smartwatch is a tool of constant connection and data. Its purpose is to deliver notifications, track activity, and serve as an extension of your phone. In a formal setting (a wedding, gala, or critical business meeting), the focus should be on the people and the event. Checking a wrist that buzzes with emails and texts can be seen as a distraction and a sign of disrespect, suggesting your attention is elsewhere. A quick glance at a simple dress watch is far more subtle and appropriate.
