Happy New Year & Blurb
Please let me know if this works: An adopted daughter. A vanished friend. A secret that must stay hidden. FBI Special Agent Charlie O'Rourke thought the adoption would keep Jamie Beth safe. But when his teenage daughter's best friend vanishes during a band rehearsal, Charlie discovers the threat isn't random. As Jamie Beth desperately searches for answers about Elena's disappearance, she has no idea she’s next. Meanwhile, billionaire Dylan Roche and girlfriend Lily Roth risk everything at a criminal gathering to steal data that could expose the identities of contract killers, including the one hunting Jamie Beth. To save his daughter, Charlie faces an impossible choice: rely solely on his FBI team and risk being too late or trust dangerous allies whose methods—and motives—walk the razor's edge between justice and revenge. Perfect for readers who love the layered conspiracies of Daniel Silva, the emotional stakes of NCIS, and the shadow-war tension of The Blacklist. Grab your copy of Stolen Secrets today and dive into this edge-of-the-seat thriller!
Blurbs
Blurbs are not my strong suit. Marketing isn't either, go figure! That's why I am here. I have the template, and I have read dozens in my genre/trope fields for inspo. Many had notes at the end with tropes to expect, etc which I tried my hand at. I'm pretty sure it's still absolute crap. There are four books in this series. Today I'm asking for help with #1, Salty. It's a contemporary romance. The new cover is fab and to market. Please help me get the blurb up to snuff. Thank you. Blurb for Salty: Saoirse O’Brien built a tech empire alongside her husband—but when James dies under suspicious circumstances, she’s left struggling to keep both herself and O’Clair Tech afloat. Devastated by the cutting gossip of New York City’s elite and left alone to survive her grief, Saoirse distracts herself by chasing old familial secrets…all the way to Ireland. Kevin Powell gave up on women after his last girlfriend left his tender heart crippled. He was only supposed to be in Ireland for the weekend, but when Kevin learns the beauty he collided with at baggage claim is also staying on remote Arranmore Island, time away from busy London with the mysterious Saoirse is too enticing to pass up. Mesmerized, Kevin makes certain they continue to cross paths on the island, where their mutual curiosity upends both their worlds. Saoirse’s priority is saving her company. Kevin needs to reclaim the life his exe maliciously ripped away. Yet an easy friendship quickly takes root, nourished by the rich Irish heritage they share—and persisting long after they return to their sperate lives. Will either of them risk another heartache by allowing something truly exceptional to bloom across the Atlantic? *** Salty is a second chance contemporary romance with STEM vibes; filled with humor, healing, unrequited love, and a slow burn that will leave readers aching for their promised HEA. *** This is the first book in the Taste of Love series, featuring bold women in male dominated fields. They are interconnected standalones but best read in series.
Book blurb advice
Can you please read this blurb of my upcoming psychological thriller and tell me if it has the right amount of hook, info, and appeal for the back book blurb or amazon sales page? She’s losing hours. Someone else is finding them. After a near-fatal car accident, bestselling nonfiction author Paige Thomas begins writing fiction to cope with her anxiety. When the blackouts start, followed by strange bruises, unexplained tattoos, and emails that read I SAW YOU, Paige fears her mind isn’t playing tricks. Someone else is. Her husband, Michael, a psychiatry resident with secrets of his own, insists she’s safe. Her doctor calls it stress. Yet fragments of memory keep surfacing: a man with green eyes, a clinic she doesn’t recall visiting, and a feeling that someone is rewriting parts of her life. When Paige turns to her estranged mother for help, a woman living off the grid and battling her own ghosts, the line between truth and delusion begins to blur. Every revelation pulls her closer to the question she’s most afraid to ask: If your memories can’t be trusted, who decides what really happened? Darkly atmospheric and emotionally charged, I Saw You is a psychological thriller about memory, control, and the dangerous power of the stories we tell ourselves.
Looking for Blurb Feedback.
It's my first time posting in here. I've been a member for months now and am just getting around to watching the videos and interacting. Anyway, here's my blurb for my dark fantasy story, book one. "Conspiracies. Betrayals. Murder. Daughter of the Monarch, young Flynae desires the traditional, peaceful life of her elf-like people. One fateful morning, her world is shattered by the most unlikely of culprits, a mere human. With the single swing of a sword, her existence degrades into an abyss of abuse and misery. A strange, unknown voice in her head provides her only solace. In a cruel twist, fate inextricably links the young girl to her father's murderer. Unable to exist apart from him for even fleeting moments of privacy, Flynae grapples with the guilt of Trusting the Enemy. How will this young Princess break free from her sadistic tormentors to realize her destiny? Trusting the Enemy, the first book in The Monarch’s Daughter series, is a sci-fi-fueled, epic fantasy following an emerging heroine with an unexpected and forbidden love interest.

Blurb rewrite!
What do y'all think of this rewrite? @Malorie Cooper @Jill Cooper ? For those who loved the rustic charm of Legends and Lattes and the unlikely friendship of How to Train Your Dragon. Cliona has always been torn between obedience to her stone-bound dwarven clan, and following in her parents' rebellious footsteps as a sea serpent trainer. When a family wedding boils over and she dares to speak her wild-hearted truth, her words shatter what’s left of her place among them. With a sense of loss but freedom, she chooses to walk her own path and finds solace on a kelp farm. However, her quiet life is knocked off course when she learns her clan is tracking a rare golden dragon that stole their prized gem. Driven by her love of animals (especially the misunderstood ones) she once more defies an iron clad belief: that dragons are dangerous, greedy creatures. With a loose plan, she tracks the hunting party only to discover that they've stolen the dragon's egg in retaliation. Furious, she manages to rescue the egg and flees with a crew of good-hearted smugglers. Desperate to find a home for the orphan, she decides to seek out the wisdom of a reclusive elven ranger, for what in blazes will she do if the thing hatches? Between pleasant pirates and a cranky old elf, Cliona’s journey will bring her delightful discoveries about dragons, the meaning of family, and where she truly belongs. Discover the world of Larune where slice-of-life tales and furry (or scaly) companions offer friendship and comfort to the weary soul. For those who enjoy self-discovery, reflective moments, and low-stakes adventure in a charming, rustic setting. Take Note: - This is a stand-alone, quick easy read - A relaxing, cozy fantasy for tired adults - Mention of dysfunctional family dynamics - May pull at heartstrings
