What readers actually want from you
One of the biggest mindset shifts that changed everything for us: Readers buy familiarity with a fresh twist. They are not hunting for something nobody has ever seen. They want the comfort of their favorite trope, delivered through characters they haven't met yet. Give them the thing they love. Then surprise them with how you do it. What is the ONE trope your readers come to you for? Say it in five words or less. I'll go first in the comments.

Cozy slice of life low stakes adventure with tea and croissants. And, based on my reviews, I guess I nailed it 😆

I want to re-publish my sci-fi and a YA fantasy series, but should I make a whole new account if I want to run ads? I'd change my pen name on the sci-fi. But does that mean I'd need new FB and insta profiles too, or use the same ones I use for cozy? Making another meta account sounds daunting. Audience would probably still be mostly women, but of course I don't want to confuse the algorithm with my cozy audience.
Homework Re-do week 6
If you wish to re-do your homework for Week 6, please put it here. Make sure you are using everything you have learned from Lessons 1 - 6. This is to focus on Hooks but also needs to be a good composition. Use the handouts to find the image safe zones and utilize margins. (Don't just upload what you uploaded before or it will be deleted) 3 Images, 3 Reels, Max.

@Jeanine Manji super cute!
Your backlist is not old, it's underrated
Let me tell you something it took me years to actually believe. The launch is a sugar rush. The backlist is the meal. We hit $25,000 in our first big month. Then $50K. Then $75K at our peak. And for five years after that, with barely any new releases, our backlist still paid us six figures a year. Old books are not dead weight. They have reviews, ranking history, and readers who already trust them. Your oldest book might be your most underrated employee. How old is the oldest book you have that's still earning money? Tell me in the comments. I want to see who has a quiet little workhorse hiding in their catalog.

These two do the heavy lifting. They came out around last year. But the weights are like 0.2 pounds 😂 Still looking for my brawny book 💪 Maybe it'll be book 5 or 15.
Moving today's scroll stopping Class to Tuesday
Alas, a migraine has struck me today. I thought I could power through, but after recording the homework review video, I knew it was not to be. I've moved it to the same time tomorrow.
