The Truth Behind Milk Cravings
Most people don’t realise milk cravings aren’t emotional… they’re chemical and energetic.
Cow’s milk contains casein, a protein that breaks down into casomorphins in the body.
Casomorphins act like mild opioids, binding to your brain’s opioid receptors and creating a calming, numbing, almost sedative effect. This is why people feel “comforted” by milk or cheese. The body becomes chemically addicted to that feeling.
