My painting “Among Giants.” I grew up and still live in the Sonoran Desert. Cactus are as normal to me as trees are for others. I always took my home environment for granted. Learning how to paint really helped me see how stunningly beautiful it is.

Most of the misery and suffering in this world mental health wise, is from this, of course I am putting aside people who’s countries are at war and are starving and etc. And let me tell you, of you want success, and happiness beyond money you need every advantage you can get. And let me tell you, unhealed trauma has a BIG effect on your inner voice and no it is not affecting it in a good way! When you have tons of unhealed trauma you are basically in a constant state of fight or flight mode, anxious thoughts come up all the time, and honestly just irrelevant thoughts that do nothing but worry you unnecessarily. So let this be a reminder for you: Don’t slack on healing your trauma!
