How to Be Free (Even When Your Mind Won’t Stop)
I spent nearly a decade fighting my own mind. Working out more. Meditating more. Trying to heal trauma. Nothing created lasting freedom. Eventually, I realized something simple: The problem wasn’t my thoughts. It wasn’t even my trauma. The problem was that I was judging my thoughts as bad — and trying to get rid of them. That resistance created a negative feedback loop. The more I fought my thoughts, the stronger they became. What you resist, persists. The same pattern shows up in life. When you resent your current circumstances… When you obsess over what isn’t going your way… When you argue with reality… You reinforce the very prison you’re trying to escape If we never learn how to relate to our mind properly, we end up living as a slave to our thoughts, emotions, and external circumstances. The core of what I teach is simple: Reclaim inner freedom and authority over your mind and ultimately your life. Not by fighting your thoughts, Or struggling out in the world. But by remaining free no matter what happens. Real freedom doesn’t come from a silent mind or a perfect life. It comes from being able to remain grounded and at peace regardless. @Randy Reisig You are not an anomaly. Whatever it is that you go through, however terrible it is, you are dealing with the same problem that most people struggle with. You're giving your power away, and so you feel powerless. If you want to be free, you have to take your power back. What else will you do? Continue to suffer because you have it so bad, and nobody understands your pain, and there's nothing you can do about it? And if only there weren't bad people doing these things to you, only then would your life finally be okay? So your solution is to give your power away to the same people who are hurting you? You haven't been listening to what i say. You cannot be free outside if you are not first free within yourself. Until you get tired of giving your power away, you won't stand on your own two feet and claim authority over your life. Until you claim authority over your own mind, thoughts, and self, you will remain a slave to someone else's authority. It's not about what happens to you. Plenty of people have had it worse than you and have gone on to become great. Plenty of people have had it better than you and have destroyed their lives. It's about how you choose to respond and act with what you've got. Until you realize that, you'll remain stuck with what you're going through.
When you have fear about the future.
When thoughts or experiences leave you afraid about the future, you MUST know how to respond. Otherwise, if you keep the fear alive by ruminating on negative thoughts, you increase the chances of attracting bad things into your life. That's why problems often occur one after another. A problem happens, you feel negative, and your state of being lowers. From that lower state of being, you begin to resonate with more negative things. You feel bad, think badly, and therefore you take more wrong actions, eventually leading to more unfavorable circumstances. The more we focus on fear, worry, and negative thoughts about the future, the more likely we are to attract the very thing we're trying to avoid. Then we say, "I KNEW IT, I knew that was going to happen," not realizing that we were co-creating that experience by focusing on it. But this doesn't have to be. You can avoid negative circumstances by learning to handle fearful thoughts when they arise. This is what I've just helped our friends in the Monkey Mind Masters Community learn how to do. @Holly Stamper I understand you must be going through a lot, and it's difficult not to allow how you feel to affect the way you communicate. That being said, a word of advice: If you want someone's help, it's best not to offend them with one hand, and hold out your hand for help with the other. I've read your comments and your messages and have decided to stay out of it because of that. I'm happy to hear that the videos have helped, but i haven't offered one on one's for months, probably close to a year at this point. I would encourage you to keep watching, and seek help in real life and not just over the internet. Because i don't know you , and you don't know me. So let's not assume. I wish you the best.
You are not who you think
All suffering arises because of our identification with stories. It's not wrong to have stories, they are part of what makes life meaningful. But there's a difference between living in a story, and being imprisoned in a story you hate. Waking up means realizing that the truth of reality, and the story about it is not the same. Pain is part of life, but suffering is optional. You are not your thoughts.
