How we Saturday'in today work? play?
Mostly family play for me today. Swim lessons, library play. But I’ve scored a little work time while the littles sleep/rest and I’m so excited about what I’m working on that it genuinely feels like play.
Cute moment: my 3yo (like… just turned 3) told me his favourite song is Beautiful Things 🥹 and then he was actually singing some of the words. My heart. Not exactly toddler music haha, but so sweet.
Also… I’m a super duper beginner, but I made my first gluten-free sourdough focaccia last weekend and it was AMAZING. I’m feeding Carl Jr. tonight (yes, we named our starter 😂) and making my second batch tomorrow.
Anyone here baking sourdough?
And just to say it out loud because this one drives me bonkers: no, not 100% of people with PCOS need to be gluten-free. This popular social media recommendation gets thrown around way too casually.... So much context and concerns I want to share. Video up and comin' on it. But if you felt you needed to go GF only because you have PCOS please wait to explore that until my video drops.
Ironically, I’m the one with PCOS and can tolerate gluten just fine but the celiac genes were strong on my husband’s side. So for simplicity and lowereing stress of contamination at home, I mostly eat GF there too well except for my wasa cracker which are awesome with hummus, (https://www.wasa.com/global/products/original/) easy to contain the crumbs, high fiber about 2g per slice and the kids don't want it anyways 🤣).
