On our last night in Lake Tahoe - the location being selected by my college-bound son for his send-off trip - we went out for a steak dinner to Chart House, one of his favorite places. I asked my wife and younger son to think about three reasons why Logan would be missed terribly and three reasons why they believed he would be very successful in this new phase of his life. We shared these with him after dinner was ordered and it all went well. He was clearly touched, but inspired. I had an extra sharp outfit in case another client call came about, so I applied it. The boys had typical clothes for a mountain trip and my wife somewhere in between. I also took advantage of it being a later evening in the mountains to break out some warmer gear! Lake Tahoe Dinner: Navy, Khaki, and Tobacco Tuesday-rule summary: This outfit includes two strongest-possible Tuesday targets: OC-002 and FR-022 each have 0% reduction from initial cost to current cost per wear (first wears). The remaining pieces prioritize harmony for a polished family dinner. • Jacket — DOJ-010 (Ralph Lauren): A business-formal navy wool blazer with a slight sheen and structured 42R silhouette. It creates a refined foundation while contrasting cleanly with the khaki trousers. • Trousers — SL-008 (Santorelli): Tailored khaki wool slacks with a subtle basket weave. Their warm neutral color balances the navy jacket and accommodates the tobacco-brown overcoat. • Shirt — DS-009 (Nordstrom): A bright-white SmartCare cotton shirt with a small diamond texture, point collar, and single-button barrel cuffs. The recommended 2.25-inch collar stays maintain a crisp frame around the striped tie. • Undershirt — US-003 (Pro Club): A white cotton crew-neck undershirt in size XL. Its matching color remains discreet beneath the bright-white dress shirt. • Tie — NT-057 (Rampley & Co.): A blue, cream, and ecru striped tie in textural shantung silk. A Four-in-Hand knot complements the point collar while preserving the tie’s relaxed elegance.

OOTD - Wednesday 12 August
It is Wednesday, my wife will be out of town for the next 2 days, so I am a single working dad for now. I have had to crack the whip a little recently with both my daughters. My eldest was relying on her mum to case the buses when she left for work. This was making her late to work, so I have put new rules in place the Teethm hair and any other needs before bed are done at 1945 and both girls are in their beds by 2000. If they are not ion bed on time, the next night is 30 mins earlier. We haven’t got to there just yet, though it was close last night. Poppy is then woken at 0600 and is to have her breakfast, Lunch made and bag packed by 0700, I have allowed hair and teeth to be done by 0710 as we walk out the door at 0715 to catch the bus up the road by 0725. Again if this is not done on time she will be woken up 30 mins earlier. As for my youngest, she is not allowed to have any screen time for anything untill she has packed her bag, had her breakfast and be completely ready to walk out the door at 0815, and 0800 on a Friday (I mean I am not punishing myself by going without a coffee) She goes to bed at the same time with the same rules but doesnt have to get up untill 0700. Today was another cold start with the sun playing peek-a-Boo from behind the thick grey clouds. I chose to wear my Fedora today for something different. The suit is Brown but comes accross grey inthe photos, I think this is due to the weave which has a light coloured stitch though the brown. Todays outfit consists of; Stanton Gentlemen’s Fedora in Charcoal Country Road Double Breasted Herringbone 100% Fine Wool Overcoat in Graphite M.J. Bale Collins suit in Super 110’s Brown Hopsack Cloth Charles Tyrwhitt Twill Prince of Wales Check Shirt in Light Blue TrendHim Nude Y Suspenders OTAA Manhattan Brown Bronze Neck Tie OTAA Persian Paisley Brown Pocket Square OTAA Spiculus Tiger’s Eye Gladiator Helm Bracelet OTAA Dark Coffee Brown Textured Socks Sparrods & Co Oslo Double Monkstrap in Espresso SOTD - Montale Intense Cafe

This is an Exciting Podcast! You Don't Want to Miss Tomorrow
Our Own William Wehrs returns to The Gentleman's Forum tomorrow 08/12/2026. The smartest wardrobe move is not buying more clothes - it's building a style that changes how you carry yourself. William Wehrs returns to share how he went from wearing all black in college to becoming the kind of man who can travel for weeks with just two suits, a sports coat, and eight different outfits. What starts as a conversation about menswear quickly becomes a deeper look at confidence, discipline, and identity. William breaks down how shows like Mad Men and The Night Manager, affordable finds like a $90 suit, and style education from places like Real Men Real Style and Gentleman’s Gazette reshaped the way he presents himself. Anthony Bunton pushes the conversation further, showing how dressing with intention is really about mindset, maturity, and the signal you send to the world. You'll discover: - Why looking sharp has less to do with price and more to do with intention - How to build a flexible travel wardrobe without packing a closet - Why repeating suits is not the issue if you rotate shirts, ties, pocket squares, and details - How wearing formal clothing regularly can make confidence feel natural - Why style can be a powerful tool for teachers, young men, and anyone trying to define who they are The conversation then shifts into something even more meaningful: how learning never stops. William shares how his summer travel included a Chicago History Museum workshop on using Library of Congress documents, visits to museums and historic sites, and time spent thinking about how to turn history into an active experience for students. As a teacher preparing to take on AP European History, he explains why he wants students to interrogate material instead of memorizing it, and why history should be something you live with, not just study for a test. Anthony and William also explore the importance of family history, historical memory, and the lessons hidden in places like cemeteries and memorials. From Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass to Vietnam veterans and the cultural stories behind a simple grave marker, this episode makes the case that understanding the past shapes how we live now. Perfect for men interested in style, fathers and mentors, teachers, history lovers, and anyone who wants to raise thoughtful young people. If you care about looking better, thinking deeper, and becoming more intentional in how you live, this conversation belongs in your queue.
