When you look at yourself in the mirror ... When you choose an item of clothing to wear in the morning ... When you choose an item of clothing to buy from a shop or an online store ... What are you hoping to achieve? Do you want to look like you fit in with what you perceive 'your type of person' to be? Do you want to stand out from others who are 'your type of person'? Do you want to look strong and dependable? Artistic and sensitive? Mature and wise? Sexy and attractive 'in that way'? What is your 'goal' beyond keeping warm and not being arrested for indecency?

While packing yesterday, I couldn't decide between my Monterey and my Seiko for this outfit, but I already had watches picked out for this evening's and tomorrow's outfits, and I only had room for one more in my travel case, so I decide to wait until I finished packing to decide. Well, I got distracted and ended up forgetting to actually pack either one, so it's watch option number three, I guess. Anyway, we're going to a wedding today, so I'm wearing my newest suit - a made-to-measure three-piece suit made from my new favorite fabric, a wool-linen-silk blend, in a light tan color. My favorite piece, other than the suit, of course, in this outfit is probably the lapel pin. It's a feathered lapel pin, handmade by Brackish, and is a bit of a souvenir from our trip to Charleston.

One thing I feel strongly about is when escorting our wives and girlfriends we need to show them respect. These days too many men don’t bother. I am not one of those men. I try to coordinate my outfit with my wife’s when ever we go out together. I ask Robin what she plans to wear and then coordinate to it. This morning I knew she was going to wear her lavender skirt with a lavender gingham blouse and purple fedora.I knew my lavender double breasted sports coat matches that skirt so that’s where I started. I wore a white dress dress.shirt with French cuffs and grey trousers u der it. From there the accessories included a vintage silk tie that was her father’s, blue derbies and blue straw fedora. What you don’t see is my socks match the jacket, plus I have on gold monkey paw cuff links and my Hamilton Boulton watch. Unfortunately we were not able to get a picture of us together. So gentlemen, make the effort to compliment your companion’s outfit with your own and make her shine.

Gentlemen, I’ll be traveling soon and would rather not pack several full-size fragrance bottles. Can anyone recommend a reputable source for high-quality decants or travel atomizers? I’d like something I can easily label and use throughout the trip. Please note, I want to use the fragrances I already have to fill the decants. Thanks in advance!
