Today was a nice day to wear linen’ Tan linen trousers with a pink linen dress shiny and a blue plaid linen jacket and a silk scarf. The shoes are my Italian spectators. For church I wore my blue straw fedora but after lunch I went to the Shamrock Club meeting and switched my hat for the blue linen cap.

I quite like to dress as formally as I can with my limited wardrobe, whenever I can. I have some old suits that really need replacing now, but until I can manage to pick up another new suit or two I will have to hold onto them! I really love a white shirt and black tie combo with a light grey suit! I dress it up a little with a silver tie pin and silver collar pin! I think this grey suit of mine is a little small for me now, so I think it looks a bit better when the jacket isn't buttoned, as when it is, it's a little tight for me! I actually made holes in my shirt collar in order to be able to use it with a collar pin! I really don't advise this as you can make mistakes, and ruin the shirt! But I am happy with this outcome in the photo. I think a collar pin really adds to a shirt and tie combo! I find that ready-made shirts with collar pin holes tend to have oversized collars and they just don't feel right on me, I much prefer a narrower collar. What is your favourite shirt/tie/suit combo?
